Bezos is merely trying to calm his dwindling readership about the non-endorsement decision.

And the ONLY reason for the non-endorsement is that he expects Trump is going to win, and he believes his team’s hype about vindictiveness.

Lest you mistake it for genuine reflection, here’s how he views those eclipsing him:

“Many people are turning to off-the-cuff podcasts, inaccurate social media posts and other unverified news sources, which can quickly spread misinformation and deepen divisions.”

Imagine WaPo carping about misinformation and division with a straight face. 😂

Expand full comment

Yup! He thinks we’re dumb.

Expand full comment

Or, (gasp), he wants to lure conservatives (whatever that is, these days) to subscribe to his newspaper because he wants to make money. That's a step in the right direction, maybe? I am a Wall Street Journal subscriber who is noticing that their news (not opinion, news) division is bleeding out with recent college graduates properly indoctrinated in the all the right Obamatudes. Formerly (I've been a subscriber there since the 90's) WSJ news would never have included "because climate change" as a throw-away line in an article about a hurricane. Now that sort of cringe pops up all over the place. In short, maybe it is a sincere effort to save his product, which I can respect. But, of course, "trust but verify."

Expand full comment

Pravda light.

Expand full comment

Not so sure about "light".

Expand full comment

Yea I had to dump wsj for that crap.

Expand full comment

Not to do the "I beat you to it" game, but in the early noughties I noticed that wsj was 20 years behind the times on too too many things. My husband did, too, and we started talking about it. After a few months, we canceled our sub. I didn't expect them to represent my views 100%, but when it got below 50%, it just became a daily irritant to see it and think "I'm paying for this?? WHY?"

This is the same reason I stopped getting National Review.

Expand full comment

Yeah i did it early during The Scamdemic.

I couldn't stand reading their bullshit during that time...and i wrote them a letter telling them why I canceled.

Expand full comment

I did at the same time to them too- their coverage was reprehensible.

Expand full comment

Yep. I did that to the New Yorker and the local propaganda rag. As well as a bunch of "environmental" groups I used to contribute to. I didn't get the NY Times, WaPo, or WSJ by that time.

Expand full comment

WaPo is not even couch cushion money to Bezos. Whatever his motivation, it's not financial gain.

Expand full comment

My assumption was the D.C. blob needs the WaPo to remain in business and at the time he either stepped up or I think was told to buy it to prevent it from going out of business. I doubt he's a newpaper man regardless of the value.

Expand full comment

It was reported that the purchase came shortly after a $350 million dollar contract from the CIA for cloud services.

Expand full comment

WSJ getting lefty. Annoying.

Expand full comment

And he’s right! Not you and I, but his target audience.

Expand full comment

Yeah...but i think he also sees the writing on the wall:

The social stigma of supporting Trump is done.

Expand full comment

Bezos is a pragmatist. He has enormous deep state contracts, running all sorts of nefarious things on AWS for the NSA and other praetorian agencies. His acquisition of WaPo was a strategic move, providing him leverage in the public square, and any losses it incurs are a drop in the bucket compared to the State largesse he enjoys.

The winds they are a' changing, and he knows it.

Plus $100M in loses in 2023.

That's why they have Prime Days at his Amazon China Mart to finance his wet dreams.

Expand full comment

It’s tipping. But Trump will always be Hitler to millions, and there will remain many corners of society where TDS prevails.

The question is, what follows Trump? His political run is in its final act.

Expand full comment

Vance and DeSantis will be the next ticket and they'll destroy the remaining vestiges of insanity imo

Expand full comment

RG I pray your right

Expand full comment

What about a Vance/Elon ticket, lmao.

Expand full comment

Not entirely. I can't see the Dems changing their tune.

That would require a level of awareness they obviously don't have.

Expand full comment

Exactly. The roles played by the two branches of the uniparty are scripted no matter what the hoi polloi do or think. Trump is a speed bump but it'll only matter if the people wake up.

Expand full comment

I do not support genocide Joe's chosen heir.

Ryan, My family members still support the social stigma, as do the wine taste group I go to. Gotta have a little wine even if it is with a bunch of shot up, boosted, kamala supporters.

Expand full comment

Bezos is pulling a Zuckerberg. He's covering all the bases in case of a Trump victory.

Expand full comment

He also 200,000 readers after failing to endorse Kackling Kamala. He's merely in damage control mode. He has no intention of changing a damn thing at the WaPo.

Expand full comment

Exactly. The corporate press railing against 'misinformation' is ripe. And besides 'mis' or 'dis'- information are bullshit terms. They imply an intent but information is either factual or not or nuamced. However, last I checked, some random person in the internet saying something that may or may not be true isn't attempting to force me to accept it. The government, however, does and the press goes along with it.

The immuno-mythology (hat tip Couey) peddled by the Biden administration and their lackeys is a perfect example.

Expand full comment

My thoughts exactly. You can see his bias and narrative capture in his use of the adjectives inaccurate and unverified on top of the lie about misinformation and divisions.

Expand full comment

losing $77 million in a year hurts too - remember, B-Man is a B-Man first

Expand full comment

I said the same somewhere else.

Capitalism is still King.

Expand full comment

This was my take as well. Bezos tipped his hand by taking a shot at independent media. The truth is WaPo has a steep hill to climb to reach the integrity of “podcasters” and “misinformed social media posters”

Bezos has been on the deep state grift for a long time and had a long history not giving a shit about anyone but himself. My guess is there are fractures among the elite class over pushing dark agendas to the point major chunks of the populace is waking from their propaganda induced slumber, and the 24/7 fear porn peddled by WaPo and its brethren no longer works.

Expand full comment

NO. He is a businessman trying to rescue a loser.

Expand full comment

Jeff Bezos runs a vanity rocket company, and he's watching competitor Elon Musk, whose rocket company is infinitely more successful than his, position himself as an actual insider with the incoming administration. I think his motivation is clear.

Chris (Freddo) gets it and doesn't get it at the same time. We're not voting for Trump because it's a dirty job and he's a guy who does dirty jobs. We're voting for Trump because he's a warrior who loves his country, and that can't be said of any Democrat. Nor most elected and serving Republicans.

I repeat. Trump is a warrior who loves his country, and he has risked all and taken enormous hits across the board--economic, reputational, legal, slander & libel--to fight for what is right.

He has survived two assassination attempts, for chrissakes. Folks should have his portrait on their stairway; they should thank their Maker that one person, at least (now we have Elon as well), was willing to tilt at the windmills to save the country from the Leviathan.

We don't give a rip what language he uses or how he comes across. Because none of that matters to the first three paragraphs above. If you have a leaking septic system and a malfunctioning leach field you don't give a rat's ass if the Septic Guy curses while he does his work. You don't want the children to hear? Fine, schedule a playdate for them somewhere in town. You are too prissy to hear someone say #$%$# #$%^%$ when he drops a concrete saw into the shite abyss? Close the windows and turn up Mozart's Requiem on high until the shite storm passes and your domain is livable once more.

We not only don't care about Trump's selection of words, we often find them quite refreshing and novel. After all, Bush 1, Clinton, Bush 2, Obama & Biden never spoke a true word or cared about the country during their time.

Expand full comment

We forget that Trump, who is always authentic, is a real estate guy from Queens. He speaks like a real estate guy from Queens. A very intelligent one!

His moving from subject to subject and back again requires attention and memory. It's the classic Cletic Knot, translated into conversation.

It requires a certain type of intelligence to follow his "knots". Not that many folks have it. If you are only focused on criticizing him, you lose the path.

"Many people are turning to off-the-cuff podcasts, inaccurate social media posts and other unverified news sources, which can quickly spread misinformation and deepen divisions."

I take issue with this. As mere mortals, we can't know the truth with 100% certainty. We only have a tenuous grasp on what *might* be true or what is *probably* true. The top-down model itself is broken. The best way to tease things out and get a closer approximation of reality is "unverified news sources".

When people I agreed with about the mandates started talking about snake venom in the vaxxes, I have enough sense to discern that this was information I should view with a great deal of skepticism and not repeat unless there was rock-solid evidence for it.

Some things are counter-intuitive, sure, and I have viewed things with skepticism that turned out to be true, but this idea that some people or institutions can be "verified" carte blanche is bullshit, and always was.

Expand full comment

Oh course it’s complete nonsense. It’s the same excuse that every petty tyrant has used since the beginning of time. Those who advocate for censorship are the least qualified to assess information. They need censorship because they simply cannot handle the truth.

Expand full comment

Yeah, and when the libs who want censorship because fee fees will be shocked, *shocked* to find out some of the stuff those of us who frequent alt media now know about the vax.

Because, despite going to school for 16+ years (some of these fools have Masters' and PhDs), it never occurred to them that when you give someone the ability to censor, they'll use it for purposes other than what you thought was intended.

The dumbest people in this country are the most highly credentialed.

Expand full comment

We have that kind here too, and being a retired teacher I've met more than my fair share of "information must be controlled for their own good"-types or the even more severe cases, "it's to protect people who can't handle too much knowledge".

And I've asked them, friends and colleagues and family even - "By what right do you get to decide what I can read or write?"

I've found that simple question often serves as a figurative slap in the face. They're so used of saying stupid things like that to each other without anyone arguing against them, that they suddenly find they have no real argument in the first place.

Agreed. Their education is too focused, with little left for ordinary observation. And, they are use to being told what to think. It's a dangerous trap.

I picked up on this last week during Trumps rally in Detroit. Ditto for the one at MSG. Both of those events would have caused holy hell to rain down had he had them in 16 & 20. The mobs on the left were at nearly every single one even in tried and true conservative locations. Don’t forget what happened in Berkeley in 16. They came with all kinds of bad attitude.

So how all of a sudden has this become possible? Perhaps another article for you Cat. They are either being told to stand down or they’re burned out. I predict it’s most likely the latter.

We’re not out of the woods tho. The chance and portion of the new migrants might be mercs should cause concern. But as of now I don’t see any willingness to fight from the insane elements on the left.

Expand full comment

Expand full comment

Me too, but I must say not near to the degree I was in 2020. I look back on that time and snicker at myself, wtf was I thinking. No clue where I had planned on going exactly but by God I had the havoc causing tools ready to go.

I don’t believe they have been told to stand down. Leftist leadership still pokes them but it doesn’t seem to be working this time. One reason I can think of is the Rocky Balboa effect. I just made this up btw lol. When Rocky is getting pummeled by the Russian with fierce brutality he continues to fight back with everything he’s got. Perhaps this has won some of the once very hostile crowd over to Trump.

The other thing is that the general non thinking masses who have voted D are legitimately hurt by policies of the left. Inflation on everything that counts (necessary goods) has got to sting I’m sure of it.

Then immigration, the rumors of illegals being given large sums of money, phones, living quarters are vast. Think how so many Blacks must feel after falling for the leftist tripe their entire lives only to learn their infallible party is participating in this as opposed to helping you. That’s a big dose of reality for sure.

Anyhow, i don’t mean to sound too cocky because I know what these elite and leftist leaders are capable. Their back is literally against the wall. So is ours. The potential merc situation definitely has me on edge. Those people don’t need to have an organic spark to do damage. They just do as their told. I can see small teams (up to 10) creating a lot of havoc over here if there’s enough of them. And then you have the potential for a cyber attack(s) between now and Jan 20.

So by all means keep your heads on a swivel. It’s won’t take me too awful long to get back to minute man status. 👍

Expand full comment

"i don’t mean to sound too cocky because I know what these elite and leftist leaders are capable. Their back is literally against the wall."

Yes. We're cooked if they're the ones that turned the WTC area into dust.

Expand full comment

Yes and most likely “they” are the ones who did it. I have only recently subscribed to that theory after reading some articles by Ron Unz. He’s very well sourced.

Our leaders/elite are literally sanctioning a genocide in the Middle East. This was hard for me to swallow but I’m afraid it’s accurate.

There’s ZERO doubt in my mind TPTB trained antifa. Most of it was non violent assaults but you could see evidence some of them had military type training in 2020. Someone is responsible for footing that bill and don’t forget about the pallets of bricks left around the battle ground during the Summer of Love.

And of course we all remember covid. I try not to get into the weeds regarding masks and social distancing or even the vaccines. However I know for a fact early treatment drugs were forbidden in order to get the body count up.

So That is the enemy we face. On one hand am not so sure they can afford to screw this place too badly. Imagine what happens if the power slips for a couple of weeks. We will know who’s responsible should our betters be able to communicate with us from preferred platforms like CNN. If it happens I’m 99.99% it will be a domestic hit anyway. Had Russia fallen already and China was bent over Western elites could have been in a more comfortable position to execute that plan.

Still, people like us know the score and the time left on the clock. Desperation is driving their decision making process.

Best Wishes Everyone!!

Rhus toxicodendron, we certainly do—and I have many times come to rue that fact. Now, if he were tarred first, the ivy would do no harm (variation on Hippocrates?)—and thistles would hurt only on pulling out from the tar. And not much at all if wilted (same for stinging nettles). But if we could skip the tarring, and simply roll him in rhus (I like the sound of that, so decided to leave it in), he would be in serious, as in, hospitalizable serious, trouble. This idea needs to be considered carefully. There may be many other avenues. How about no tar, just a mix of poison ivy, nettles and thistles?

I approve, and would like to add a final touch if I may:

Do it in early Autumn up North, when the deer ked is out in force. Alternatively in high Summer. We have a species of horsefly over here, specialising in moose. As in, that horsefly can bite through the skin of a moose to draw blood. If you get bitten, you get a 1/4 mark that looks like a 3rd degree chemical burn.

Or we could put him out for the bot fly subspecies we have here in Sweden: it lays eggs in the nose of the moose. Only, sometimes it confuses the nostrils and human eyesockets, so it ends up spraying it's hooked and barbed larva into someones eye.

Said larva must be physically scraped off the inside of the eyelid, as soon as possible, or you might go blind.

She was also an ACLS[1] and PALS[2] instructor for 2017 to 18. She's the Clinical Leadership Council ER Chair, a member of the Sepsis Committee and the Staffing and Acuity Committee.

GINA: Hi. I am currently starting my 30th year of nursing and working in an immediate care center. We currently see about 50 patients a day, and in the county that I work we are 47% of our population has been vaccinated.

Do I believe that the vaccine should be mandated? No, I do not. I don't agree with it because it is not safe and it is not effective. So far. We don't have any long-term safety data, but I am looking forward to looking at that when we do have it.

So far what I've noticed in our vaccinated versus unvaccinated patients. About a month ago I would say our covid patients were 50% vaccinated and 50% unvaccinated. More recently our covid patients are about 70% vaccinated and 30% unvaccinated. Most of our patients are being, are really responding well to outpatient therapy. Our high-risk patients are eligible for [inaudible], monoclonal antibody infusions[3] and they are responding well to that. We're having good outcomes with that infusion therapy.

Along with the infusion therapy they are on immune support over-the-counter vitamins.

And, along with that, to minimize the cytokine storm that is what is causing patients to go into the hospital, they are also taking Pepcid[4]. It is a histamine blocker and it works very well to prevent patients from going into the cytokine storm.[5]

The patients that are not doing well in the outpatient setting, I would say out of our high-risk patients I would say about 90% are doing well in the outpatient setting, and 10% are needing to be hospitalized. The 10% are having symptoms of, I would say they're exertional or conversational shortness of breath. [inaudible]. Their pulse oximeter for oxygen saturation is low, it's in the 80s. Some go down to the 70s.

Some patients are becoming septic. And signs of sepsis are, you know, the tachycardia, the fever, low blood pressure. And then preventing them from going into multi-organ disfunction and failure is really important. Some patients are taking different supplements to protect their kidneys and their liver.

And then we have our patients that are coming in that are fully vaccinated with very odd symptoms of heart palpitations, cardiac arrhythmias, pericarditis, myocarditis. They're coming in feeling dizzy, light-headed. They are in different cardiac rhythms.

They also also have a lot of different complaints. Our vaccinated patients are coming in with a lot of different infections. Normal healthy people that should not have problems fighting infections. Colds are turning into a sinus infection that they need an antibiotic therapy for. The antibiotic

therapy is not helping them after one week or 10 days, so we'll need 14 days.

The infections that we're seeing, the bladder infections, skin infections, abscesses, cellulitis, stomach infections like diverticulitis, diverticular disease,[6] has been overwhelming. Enlarged livers. Splenomegaly[7]. Hepatomegaly.[8]

And abnormal blood tests. Their platelets are running low from the platelet aggregation. So the platelets are kind of clumping together and that's causing the low platelet count. When you have low platelet counts, you are prone to bleeding.

Along with the bleeding, the blood cells are clumping and causing all types of different blood clots. They're causing pulmonary embolisms in the lungs. Some pulmonary embolisms are so big they're creating right heart strain and the patients need to be hospitalized for it.

They are getting deep vein thrombosis in their legs. They're getting micro blood clots that are very hard for a scan to pick up. Scans do not pick up the micro-clots, but a d-dimer[9] will, a d-dimer will show that clotting [inaudible].

Our patients that are covid positive are having very high inflammatory markers.

And the covid pneumonias and the pneumonias, some of them are not responding to the regular antibiotics that we get for pneumonias. So we're having to change, that, you know, the providers are changing the therapy for, for the pneumonias.

And then some patients that are coming in and getting cultures, like a urine culture or a wound culture, we're seeing cultures of different bacteria that aren't normal, that we don't usually see as frequently, like a bladder culture usually broke out e-coli.

And we're seeing different bacterial infections, and these bacterial infections are resistant to a lot of the antibiotics that we usually are using. So providers are having to really hit the books and see the different antibiotics that we might have to change it to.

I feel like outpatient settings are struggling to meet the needs of our patients at times.

So to me, I do not support mandating the vaccine. I'm very concerned about what the long-term effects are going to be of these vaccines.

Thank you for your time. I hope this is helpful. Take care.

[3] "Monoclonal antibodies (also called moAbs or mAbs) are proteins made in laboratories that act like proteins called antibodies in our bodies. Antibodies are parts of your immune system. They seek out the antigens (foreign materials) and stick to them in order to destroy them. Laboratory-made monoclonal antibodies help stimulate your own immune system. The word “monoclonal” refers to the fact that the antibodies created in the laboratory are clones. They are exact copies of one antibody."

With CRS, your body releases chemicals called cytokines. This process can result in a number of different symptoms and manifestations. People with CRS typically develop fever and a variety of other symptoms, which can affect multiple organs. Prompt treatment is key to reducing these exaggerated immune responses."
