Lastly, I caught my spouse lying to me about a person my age supposedly on a vent in our local hospital where he works. I was told completely healthy with no risk factors. I later overheard a phone call with a fellow physician. She was only being observed in the ICU, on oxygen, not vent, and morbidly obese. Why my spouse resorts to fabricating / I suppose as he knows I have a point and it contradicts his dogma. I didn’t confront him on this - no use he would just be angry.

They ought to require that doctors and healthcare workers, when making the rounds, have to look at 10,000 healthy people between each patient experiencing a negative outcome to an endemic viral infection, so they don't develop such a distorted sense of the risks.
