Unplug and recharge. Have fun!

Two cats pass each other on the street and one says to the other:

-Hey, how was your vacation?

I got petted a whole lot, I ate a ton of food and I slept 10 hours a day!

To which the other cat said:

-Wow, that's a shame. You weren't able to disconnect from the job!

My cat wakes me up at 5am so she can watch me watch her just go right back to sleep for 18 hours. Yeah, I think she is with the 'government'.

Expand full comment

Where do you suppose the government learned its mind control techniques in the first place?

Expand full comment

The main reason I prefer dogs in person is that they create the appearance of being controlled by humans. Cats don't waste a single brain cell on such fanciful gibberish!

Mine lurk at my bedroom it I’m not up early enough to feed them. Then they are dove with me for a few hours. Good thing I have dogs to fill that time. What would I do with free time?

I LOVE my old crabby tabby. And he does have me fully trained to follow him. If only he would lead me somewhere other than kitchen for fresh food, door to go out, or bedroom to sleep.

that almost sounds like my dog !

Full disclosure: I found the footage of the collie herding the ducklings to be adorable. (I am aware that in this context it stands for something more sinister.)

Expand full comment

A herding dog chased after truck that was taking his charges to slaughter. Distraught. Collies rock. Non attack dogs rock.

Forgot to add... that dog chased that truck, distraught trying to save them

I enjoy my rescued cats, but my rescued pup herds my heart to hers

She IS rather nicer than her mom is...I can admit that. She also may be smarter 🤔😅

so sad

You're a good person, Bootsorourke.

Some people who have power love their charges. I remember a Queen walking beach after horrible storm, regular clothes, worried about her people

I sense another dog 🐕 lover!.

I go to dog park, with and without my dogs.

I am very surly, and they are my companions

I have 2 rescue dogs. We got them in December of 2020. Best thing to help keep us sane in this 🤡 world!

When one of my dog dies, I stay in bed for a day, 2... and then get another one.

I need dogs. Plus, they won't be killed in shelter.

But my wife, brother are like you.

God bless

This is my seperated husband...he " wants" a dog, but can't commit to taking enough time off his rock climbing and mtn biking to actually have one- so he takes custody of our puppy girl once in a while.

As it gives me a day or 3 break every couple months ,I'm not opposed.

Thank you for all you do. You have been thinking, researching, and doing a lot lately. I started to wonder when you sleep and relax. That being, you will be missed. Looking forward to your return

Hey, a shout-out to Calvin Coolidge!

In his book, "Freedom From Fear: The American People in Depression and War, 1929-1945," David Kennedy relayed a (probably apocryphal) story about Silent Cal that perfectly encapsulated his hands-off, do-nothing style of governance.

In a newsroom, one journalist came storming in declaring the breaking news, "Calvin Coolidge is dead!"

"How can you tell?" was the reply...

Don’t forget Ernest Hemingway, who the left has attempted to cancel recently…

Unbelievable. Is Mark Twain next?

Expand full comment

I thought they were done with Twain. I remember banning of his books back in the day.

Expand full comment

Maybe, I know they g he ad issues with Tom Sawyer but didn’t realized there was a ban. Getting old I guess

Expand full comment

I worked in a library. Once in awhile we had a banned book display of historic and current “banned” books. Twain had been at times. Some very surprising books in the lists. Origin of the Species by Darwin used to be the most stolen book.

we do not own dogs, but I am a dog magnet. There is something.... they always come over to me. Yes, I love them.

We have two kitties. we have always had Cornish Rex kitties.

Kitties are just small tigers

I love dogs, but cats will always have a special place in my heart

Expand full comment

I have both, 4 dogs and 5 cats.

There is a difference.

You own a dog, and he is by your side no matter what.

You have an intimate relationship with your cat, and if you violate that relationship he either claws you or leaves.

A cat won't take your crap, but a dog will.

Cat ownership by men is a sign of male strength.

Expand full comment

From the ones I have known, men owning cats is a sign of laziness. Cats take care of themselves and don't want to be bothered. Dogs want you to return the love they give, that requires work and emotional availability.

Expand full comment

You should find some Real Men, then.

To say cats "don't want to be bothered" is admitting you don't know cats.

You have to *build* a relationship with a cat. Or kitten.

Expand full comment

I don't "know" cats by choice.

Yet you form strong opinions about cats.

Care to share your strong opinions on other topics that you know little about?

Why was someone from CIA/NSA one of the leaders of a pandemic practice exercise? You know, Avril Haines? (cough--Event 201--cough)

I'm sure there's no connection between the CIA and the sponsors of Event 201--the World Economic Forum and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

Avril Haines is a character worthy of "fiction" spy novels. Talk about a deep state operative - https://wikispooks.com/wiki/Avril_Haines

Loved this post! And, I might point out, the video of the dog does show that there is definitely a place in the world for a well trained canine…the trick now is to teach the cat to whistle!

Expand full comment

As our neighbor allowed their dog to come pee on my flowers and then poop in our other neighbors yard I once again realized why I am a cat person. People act like cats are so aloof…ours are not but you definitely have to do things on their terms too. It’s a give-and-take relationship as all should be.
