Not at all correct.

The purveyors of CBDCs are hoping to prey on the public's general ignorance of how blockchain technology, and cryptocurrencies in general, work.

They've already begun their demonization campaign against BTC as "fake money," but they can't go too hard on that since they recognize the potential value and are stockpiling it themselves, just in case.

CBDCs are impostor cryptocurrencies since they are completely centralized, whereas true cryptocurrencies are decentralized and can be easily exchanged for multiple other competing currencies without the "need" for a central bank to do it.
