Yes, many many people around here don't buy into the madness. Though a lot of people who thought the lockdowns and masks were BS still got jabbed. I can't figure that one out.
Our church, 2nd Baptist (megachurch) only closed for the month or so it was required and the whole pandemic hardly anybody wore masks even though it was mandated by county. Church did a little bit of performative precautions, but as little as they could get away with.
Here at my volunteer "job" in relatively free Florida, we are still asked to wipe down our keyboards, phone and desktop at the end of each shift using an antiseptic wipe. π Most seem to "forget" doing so, but I comply when sharing the desk with my CNN consuming co-volunter, who says the magic words as we perform the rituals.
