this video is likely going to be yanked off twitter shortly. gatopal™ aaron ginn put it up and it has already been completely sequestered. you cannot forward, like, retweet, or comment on it.
so, i wanted to try out this new substack video feature and see if we might get it some airtime here. (please let me know how it works)
several things are significant here.
he lays out in simple terms that mRNA vaccines are, indeed cell and/or gene therapy. (whether this can be read to be an admission they are specifically gene therapy is debatable as he uses the two terms as a compound category)
he’s thrilled that people accepted it. “if we had surveyed 2 years ago if people were willing to take gene or cell therapy and inject it into your body we would have probably had a 95% refusal rate.”
he sees this as the big future thrust for bayer.
and he sees the pandemic as “having opened eyes about innovation.”
quite a lot to unpack there.
foremost, i wonder very much about his impression about people being accepting of cell and gene therapy going forward. this would imply that they knew it was happening last time. i think very few do. this was assiduously denied all along. they were pushed as “vaccines” because “vaccines are safe and you can trust them.”
calling them “experimental gene or cell therapies never before used in humans that have no track record of efficacy or safety” got you banned from public discourse and social media. apparently, it still does. those of a somewhat cynical bent might have some pointed questions here about just why that is…
whether they were, in fact, vaccines at all can be semantically debated, but one thing is certain: they were not tested like vaccines. that takes 5-10 years. they were not held to the standards to which vaccines are generally held that have made them so incredibly safe.
every safety was ripped out in the rush. boosters were approved without even doing any clinical outcomes work. it was done on biomarkers alone. it was so egregious that the top people at FDA vaccine division quit over it.
perhaps great short term marketing, but long term, this has done massive harm to faith in regulators. and this is going to matter.
cell and gene therapy is obviously the coming thing. it is also obviously a field with a ton of potential. solving issues at the cellular and genetic level could provide cures for an incredible number of things. BUT, and this is not a small “but,” it’s also incredibly high risk. you are now tampering, probably irreversibly and certainly unpredictably, with the literal building blocks of life. even if you get an outcome correct, what else did you affect?
this is serious, potent, cutting edge, and most of all novel stuff. this would seem to be a reason to act with caution and care, not with reckless corner cutting.
it’s obvious we got these vaccines ridiculously wrong. their study designs were rigged to the point of datacrime, their safety profiles were not established and have turned out to be awful, and they were rushed out to an unsuspecting world with promises that have completely failed.
they did not stop spread. at all. they almost certainly made it worse.
and yes, they 100% were sold as a way to stop spread and to “protect your neighbor.” claims they were not are pure fiction.
this means they were sold either on lies or on a complete and total failure to properly analyze the data.
which of those two instills you with trust?
the narrative retreated to “they stop severity and spare hospital capacity.”
this too has failed to pan out. (even with boosters)
instead, they selected for greater virulence from delta in vaccine driven evolution and then a throwback variant (omicron) that has likely extended the pandemic and generated a full blown hoskins effect/OAS outcome.
this is what rushing novel therapy to market does. and it’s clear they plan to do it again. this is the hot new business plan. (and i see a ton of biotech biz plans, so trust me, it’s propagating. the industry sees what should be a cautionary tale as a green light to get more reckless and sees regulators as captive and willing to play ball.)
mRNA vaccines are certainly cell therapy.
but a question remains: are mRNA vaccines actually the gene therapy everyone clamed they were not? can they alter DNA in permanent fashion?
the honest answer is “i do not think we know yet.”
that is, for the record, NOT an acceptable answer for a product that has been injected into over a billion people.
it is, frankly, terrifying. the irresponsibility of it boggles the mind.
much has been made about THIS swedish study that showed LINE integration of SARS-Cov-2 RNA into human liver cells.
it’s suggestive, even provocative. but is also not dispositive. i spoke to several geneticist friends on this issue. they are all saying more or less the same thing.
“They did not show integration in the genome... but they did show LINE-1 is expressed which has integrase activity.”
“I bet they are a few months away from showing genome integration. They need Deep PacBio Sequencing to do this as the integration events are likely to be different in each cell and hard to pin down in an ensemble collection of cells.”
“This should induce an immediate moratorium on mRNA transfections until WGS is complete on the Huh7 cell lines.”
from the study:
Our results indicate a fast up-take of BNT162b2 into human liver cell line Huh7, leading to changes in LINE-1 expression and distribution. We also show that BNT162b2 mRNA is reverse transcribed intracellularly into DNA in as fast as 6 h upon BNT162b2 exposure.
this is not proof it changed your DNA. but it’s enough that we should be seriously concerned about the potential, and see, the fun part here is that so should the FDA have been. so should pfizer have been (this is their vaccine). but no one even tested this, or, if they did, they sure did not share the results anyplace i have ever seen.
let that one sink in.
so, the upshot here is this: lots of change is coming. we stand on the precipice of massive breakthroughs in human health and longevity. we’re getting down to the levels where we can really tinker with fundamental building blocks. it’s epic stuff, promising, alluring, and it WILL change everything in coming decades. that’s not even really up for debate.
the question is “how?” and “when?”
but we need to tread carefully. you cannot count on scientists to be cautious. half of them are, frankly, bonkers and border on sociopathy. kill 10,000 or 100,000 rats and bunnies in a career after giving them deliberate brain damage to see if you can fix it or after infecting them with awful diseases or breeding them for genetic defects and see what happens to you… (maybe you too would start hotwiring highly contagious human viruses to 100’s of times their native virulence.)
you cannot count on governments to manage this. they do not even understand it and it’s too easy to jurisdiction shop.
you cannot count on regulators. they can be bought, captured, co-opted, and made to dance in little tutus and funny hats by the people who stand to profit here.
you cannot count on companies either. surely, we’ve seen quite enough of that lately and even now, they are calling this a win and looking for the next one. pfizer’s vaccine looks to be the most profitable pharma product in history.
we will need to count on ourselves. use your head. exhibit discernment. get informed, make your own choices, and be very, very skeptical of that which you do not understand and that has not been widely tested.
“experts” may or may not have any idea what they are talking about even if they did have any inclination to tell you the truth, and clearly, they will not always want to.
it falls on us. only you can really look out for you. cultivate a real interest in your health and your treatments. it pays real dividends. the life you improve may be your own.
