There are numerous quantum physicists and astronomers, who generally start out atheist or at best agnostic, and who as they learn more about the Universe, come to the recognition that there is no way in Heaven that all of the things (like universal physical constants -- charge of the electron, speed of light, mass of basic particles) that need to be 'right' for the Universe to work, could possibly have happened without some sort of Plan, implying the existence of a Planner. As in, if they were wrong by one digit in the 15th place, the Universe would not exist.
So yes, there is indeed physical evidence for the existence of God.
Most of us come to believe in Him on the basis of much more personal experiences, but as you know, God comes to each, in their own way.
