The parallels between this and Gen X-ers that bought minivans is stunning. Instead of just admitting their mistake, they try and convince all their friends to buy one too.

I love my minivan. It has the room of an SUV but drives like a car. It may not be cool, but it gets the job done. And, no, I haven't gotten the jabs...but many of my SUV driving relatives have. You might want to rethink your theory.
hear hear.. i love my minivan too, it's great for hauling schtuff like camp gear, snowboard gear, and lots of people. And I also am gen x and did not get the jab. chubox is in left field on this one IMO
I'm an old millennial, just got a minivan, it's a game changer with small kids. My preschooler can climb in by herself! sliding doors! There's a reason our church (average 4 kids per young family) parking lot is full of them
That's a fair question from someone in Europe. The minivan is more an example of a car that is quite practical, but decidedly uncool/not attractive. If you have confidence, you drive whatever you want/need, but there was a trend where the minivan was supposed to be the very best for everyone, but it clearly isn't. It's just indicative of how trends aren't real purveyors of taste or good decisions.
I remember exactly where I was when it really and truly dawned on me that, "I'm now a minivan owner." Driving down Pembroke Street in Pembroke, New Hampshire, taking my kids to school.

I have 2 minivans and would buy them again over the Minivan wannabe SUV any day.
Got the "booster" did ya
LOL, that minivan thing had me snort my coffee earlier.

What's wrong with the minivans?
