Italy was in our headlines at that time here in the US. I enjoy hearing people's experiences from all over the world in these comments. I used to travel a lot but I've only left Texas to pop into Oklahoma for a couple days in the last 2 years. I doubt my children will ever be able to travel like I did. But they might live in "interesting times"

Italy was a little bit ahead of us in time. And apparently the situation was even worse than here. I also used to travel, now I am dangerous ;) and cannot enter the US, for instance.

Anyhow, I can enjoy short trips, no special necessity to travel. I am sorry for the kids, but on the other hand the generation before mine did not travel much abroad, perhaps only the honey moon or even nothing.
