After a number of IQ tests over my 65 years of life I am consistently in the the top 4% of the population. I used to be quite proud of this as I am not academic. However, I now realise with much of the population apparently having an IQ of about 10 my top 4% isn't perhaps all that good.
I think laziness and making unfounded assumptions is a large part of the problem.

Yep! Sometimes I get full of myself thinking how smart I am, then I remember I'm comparing myself to other humans. ;)
