Please do write a book. If humanity survives our current mass madness, future generations will find the record of your experiences valuable. Besides, I’d like to read about them.

Hello, TS. The doubt you express about Humanity maybe not surviving this madness is exactly what I was wondering about yesterday.
Hearing/watching/reading the scientific pundits (!) spreading the same unscientific crap in November 2021 than in March 2020, with arguments that already presume the indefinite character of these measures, made me realize precisely the possibility of Humanity not overcoming this trial, just not surviving such a tremendous amout of idiocy.
Besides, the new generations will only be prepared for a digital/virtual world, and will have no tools whatsoever to face real life shortenings or catastrophic events of any kind.
You know, every generation thinks it´s the chosen one to witness something extraordinary. Most of the times is not that way, but this time I am afraid it is. This might be it. And well, it´s been a good trip. Maybe it´s time for going back to Source.
World wide we have a disease that takes people with very specific preexisting health problems predominantly linked to lifestyle choices. The world wide response to this disease exasperated these problems. The lockdowns have increases obesity in not only adults but children too. Lack of vitamins D is a factor, yet we are forced to stay indoors decreasing our access to naturally occurring creation of this vitamin. Inn short, the response most nations have adopted force us into a lifestyle that increases our risk of dying from Covid.
Much the same with masks. They are not only not at all helpful against viruses, they are not benign. I am certain treat the number of people dying of treatable bacterial infections form their masks being treated and dying of Covid is significant. But, we are likely to never know. We are being forced to use a mask which overuse of increases risk for bacterial and fungal infection of lungs which in turn are counted as Covid cases and deaths which increases the fear level causing more people to wear them more often.
The vaccines are also a grave concern, as you point out, but the shortages we are experiencing are going to be catastrophic. We have NEVER shut down the economy, they world wide economy before. So few people are producing anything. We, the entire world, are for the most part living off of what was produced before the shut downs, much of which is unable to get to the consumer due to the destruction of various links of supply chains.
Long before the panic, I have observed while driving around Japan that everyone working the fields are at the youngest, in their 50s. Most are quite elderly. I have long wondered what happens when they die off? Who is going to replace them. Same too with commercial fishing in Japan. Anytime there is an accident, the ages listed of those lost and survived are late 40s to 70s. The younger ranges of both of these trades are rare. Most performing these are the elderly.
Most younger generations of the industrialized world have no idea how to provide food from themselves beyond ordering it our microwaving prepared meals. While my wife can cook like few can, can we produce our own food in sufficient quantities? Doubtful. Can we do so and keep those less capable from robbing what we produce, highly unlikely.
Then we have former, and make no mistake, “former” is the correct term, democracies imposing martial law in all but name against their former citizens. Former citizens as they are now mere subjects.
Yes, we very well may be at the beginning of the end.
Thank you, TS. This is such an excellent post, and an accurate review of causes, effects, human behaviour and what to expect as an outcome of the largest mistake, in quality and quantity, Humanity´s ever done.
And while it is true that in my mind there´s little doubt that the destruction of economy is a necessary step in the transhumanists plans for the advent of Virtual Reality to a degree where it will become people´s only refuge from a real world where they have nothing spiritually or economically, I don´t totally rule out the idea that maybe the plan will swallow their own creators, and instead of a science-fiction dystopia with techno-elites and slaves, we´ll have one of mere survival for all, they included.
I guess we´ll just have to live day by day and see.

Things certainly are different this time.
