clearly, the biden admin is seeing polling for next year that scares the bejeesus out of them.
suddenly, they are desperate to stop any voting accountability laws. they need the “new normal” of unaccountable mail-in voting, early voting, zero verification, and zero validation or they are going to lose the house.
this is why they are pushing back so hard on this idea of “returning voter laws to pre-2020” and trying to act like debasing the democracy was saving it. they need it or their power is going bye-byes.

all the wild, unprecedented, poorly conceived, and worse implemented changes that turned last election into a cartoon pastiche of a banana republic ARE being presumed to be lawful. the status quo ante is not.
and how did they push this reckless joy ride with your democracy through last time? covid fear.
they are just going back to the same trick play that scored the last touchdown.
fortunately, 70% of america is absolutely ruling out listening to the CDC anymore, because whoever is in charge over there, they are certainly not “experts” in anything but politics.
they have flip flopped so many times at the behest of politician patrons and paymasters as to render themselves entirely devoid of credibility.
this is clearly sham, farce, and partisan thumb on the scalery.
they are selling clear development of community resistance as new societal susceptibility.
not even they are this incompetent.

this looks like the kind of move that’s right in the wheelhouse of the current gang of political grifters and it sure worked last time.
create a crisis, debase the democracy, prevent accountability, and once the laws are set, you can let everyone go again and hope they forget in the 9 months pre-election.

1) Looks at Hope-Simpson curve
2) Realizes nature is about to do it's thing presenting a golden opportunity
3) Issues 'new and improved' mask recommendation based on past trends calming the 'masks forever' crowd

I'm not sure I'm buying this one Bad Cat. I don't believe this is all point of an elaborate plan. I'm wondering if we could appease our "leaders" if we just got rid of elections, and let the people who are currently in just stay there for life? And of course their children would automatically rise to the seats of power as well. Would that be enough for them to leave us alone? Maybe then they would take mercy on us and stop ruining the lives of the peasants just to score election points and invent excuses to change "election" rules more in their favor. In all actuality little would change from installing an official aristocracy as our so-called "democratic elections" result in almost no actual change in policy or personnel. And since our entire government is 100% consumed with "winning the next election and we will burn down the country to do it," maybe we should just give up on our little American Experiment.
