You would have to be 59 (not 49, wink, wink) to be an "almost" boomer('46-'64).

Indeed! I’m so grateful (weirdly) that I’m not in my 30s or, please no, younger in these times. It troubles me that our oldest is 28 and our youngest is 19. While they are mostly on track now, things are bound to grow worse before they get better. It’s concerning.

But I’m grateful that they all love coming home. This means we still have some influence.

Well said. I have 17, 19, and 21 year olds, and I go back and forth feeling bad for them, but then seeing signs that, with our help, they are going to save us yet.

I remember when my generation was suppose to save the world. We say that to every generation and It sucks. It isn’t their problem to fix.

Well, I disagree. Yes, we shouldn't just wash our hands of problems, but it *is* (i.e. existentially) their problems to fix, just like it's up to every generation to try to make the world better, no matter what mess they inherit.

I didn't mean *we* don't help all we can, but it is *our* time and energy that is limited.
