The interviewer seemed more upset by the loosening of the quarantine time than the fact that the healthy have been locked in for two years for something the mostly effects the very sick. In the region I live (4.4million pop), only 150 souls have died allegedly of covid in the past 2yrs+ without at least one comorbidity. Most have 4 or 5. 3000+ have died overall and avg age is 78. We are fortunate our area tracks these stats. Despite these 150 probably all being past the avg due date of 74yrs, I wonder how many could have been saved with early therapeutics and avoidance of the hospital(remdesivir/intubation) thinning the number closer to 0. I worry that our countries "leaders" are trying to reduce the number of persons that died from covid so that they can claim all of the mitigation measures were successful. Originally models (don't laugh) stated 1.4M would die of COVID if preventative measures did not occur, which was the rationale for the lockdowns. If we get to 1M dead plus all the other easily calculated costs of lockdowns (overdoses and suicide increases) bring it close to 1.4M then all of the lockdowns and destruction of our societal norms and restriction on government will have been for nothing.
If instead they can claim, really only 300K died and most were going to die anyways they will start to claim that the lockdowns and freedom killing were worth it and should be done again for the next virus de jour.
