My BF, a crew head on a major bway hit show was down here when broadway closed. His assistant living in NYC told him this. At first we assumed that he was just shooting off his mouth but it was confirmed by others in the business- stagehands, technical directors, general managers, etc who my BF knows very well, having worked on Broadway for around 40 years.

My BFтАЩs producer hired an entire new layer of management- a diversity PhD to train everyone in racial sensitivity, a natural hair person because тАЬthe history of America can be told by studying black hair,тАЭ a musical director who was тАЬsensitiveтАЭ (the main music director apparently offended one of the actresses by telling her how he wanted the music sung), an extra choreographer for POC cast and 2 Covid officers who needed their own office (they displaced the PSM). And then the highly paid interns of color to redress historic imbalances.

When the show finally opened with that bloated payroll, an audience too frightened to attend and weeks of missed performances every time someone tested positive, it shut down for good. No surprise there

Well, of course I donтАЩt have the accounting ledger so this is probably not the тАЬdocumentationтАЭ you were hoping for but itтАЩs the best I can do.

On another related front, we have a friend who owns a small 3 unit apartment building in the Bronx. You remember what the Feds did with private contracts between landlords and tenants? I own two houses down here and thank god, my tenants paid their rent during the pandemic but my friendтАЩs did not. He did get the money eventually paid in full- FROM THE GOVERNMENT!!!!

I know people who could have paid their rent but didnтАЩt because the government said they didnтАЩt have to and the tax payers covered them. This makes my blood boil. The government did not interfere between banks and mortgagees. If you rented an apartment in NY, you got free space but if you owned a co-op or a condo, you still had to pay your mortgage and maintenance. If you were a landlord now with no income, you still had to pay your insurance and property taxes!

How dare they!!!

There's a much darker motivation that can be hard to attribute to individuals but shouldn't be dismissed: the desire to be superior, to have a group of "untermenschen" to persecute and exercise power over. I think some of those people loved that aspect. I think maybe a lot of them did. Maybe Emily, too.

She describes herself on Twitter as "unapologetically data-driven." She's certainly got the "unapologetic" part right, but she had to be disregarding a hell of a lot of data to have been such a devoted Covidian.

Having spent a considerable amount of time around journalists and academics, you are correct. Most are unbelievably arrogant and view all who are not them as lesser. I believe that they have no remorse whatsoever for their stance. Some of them, however, are very sorry to be caught in the wrong and possibly face consequences. But in all likelihood nothing will happen to them. A few of the lower tier may be chosen to fall on their swords for the cameras, but the vast majority - meh. The higher up they are, the more responsible for this nightmare, the greater their hubris. This begging for amnesty is mostly pre-election jitters and terror over Twitter. I just wonder who is giving the orders for it.

This is a social war.

A war between the Narcissist and The Normal.

Between Authoritarians and The individual.

Between The Left and the Right.

Between the Progressive and the Conservative.

It is truly a war, and the stakes were high. The power to take away someone's livelihood, educational prospects, and social network in the name of "the power to require vaccination" has real and tangible consequences. Not just social consequences. Financial consequences are a big part of the damage done.

When the war is over (and its not over yet) WE DON'T give amnesty.

We give no quarter.

They would not give us amnesty if the roles were reversed.

Hence any talk of amnesty should be filed under "it's never going to happen"

They must never have their hands on the levers of political power EVER AGAIN.

NO Dear JIK, The data? Where does it come from? Well sir, NOT from the CDC, NOT from the NIH, NOT from he Executive branch of the government, NOT from ANY federal governmental organization that I know of. So let us know, sir which Federal organization IS telling the truth? And just who IS actually telling the whole truth and not suffering both public and private humiliations and threats, and not getting banned from social media platforms?

The data is being mined by concerned people who smell a rat and are informed enough and tenacious enough to keep digging for answers until they find the truth and then are risking their livelihoods and their reputations to get that truth out to the public because they understand the true nature of the war are in.

No, too much damage has been done, too many lives lost, millions, too many lives left destroyed by debilitating jab side effects, millions, too many families torn asunder, too many grieving parents, too many homes lost, too many businesses lost, too many childhoods forever damaged.

No, "I'm sorry" is NOT enough, not for this one. The understanding that this kind of evil behavior has serious consequences and will never be be tolerated again, ever, must be understood by all of the peoples of the world. And how? By giving to these perpetrators the same measure of mercy that they gave to their victims. No, no amnesty, not now, not ever.

Look, I'm not after unsuspecting and trusting people who took the jab thinking they were doing the right think. That includes my entire family. No thinking person would be. Rather one should have sympathy for those who were so easily manipulated or coerced into making that choice.

The people who need to be prosecuted are those who conducted the research and deliberately lied to people of the world. As well as all of the organizations, mainstream media, and influencers of all kinds who either coerced or brainwashed the population into taking it. This injection was developed as a depopulation tool. It was designed for the purpose of killing off a majority of the world's population and to install nano technology devices for the ultimate control of those who survive. You cant still be ignorant of this fact.

Rae, I've read the reply JIK has given to this post of yours about an hour ago. and here is my humble advice. Some people are not thinking clearly and are not able to distill nuances of the written posts and only hear what they want to hear based upon their own fears or fantasies. Others are folks who actually just "get off" on argumentative interactions because that raises cortisol levels in the brain along with another whole cascade of brain chemicals. These people are addicted to their own brain chemicals and need their fix. Or they are deliberately looking to cause consternation among posters because they get a buzz from that too. You may be pounding sand on this one. Sometimes its best to let these folks just think what they want to think... and let it go.

Thanks Helen. I'm sure you're correct.

It is also possible that there are "plants" paid by corrupt elements, with a goal of ratcheting up the crazy-factor in order to discredit the truth. Ignoring them is more productive. Maybe calling them out and suggesting they tell their supervisors they've been noticed(?) ...a thought.

Entirely possible. El Gato Malo has the right to ban JIK from additional posting should he decide the disruptively repetitive posting has gone on long enough. Its a private site and we are just guests here, so not our call. I enjoy reading and responding to many of the folks who post on Bad Cattitude, so my choice is to skip right over and NOT read any further posts from this person and decline any further interaction.
