if you want to see the moral and intellectual bankruptcy of an entire ideology on vivid technicolor display, it’s hard to beat what’s going on right now in canada.
the totalitarian “build back better” structures endlessly justified with rhetoric as relentless as it was dishonest are being demolished and supplanted by precisely that thing they claimed to champion:
the just power of the people to seek equity and agency.
this is literally the alleged intellectual class of the socialist salon getting exactly what it is they have always advocated for and then freaking out about it.
and it’s perfect.
because this is not what any of them really wanted. it was a pretext. it was a pose. and nothing undermines a pose like having your dad and his friends show up and do it better than you.
because this was never about “the workers” or “the downtrodden” or about elevating any of the alleged race victims or the lower classes
the socialists do not want that. they never did. they wanted to rule you. they wanted this:
and this becomes dazzlingly obvious in their incredible distress and outright horror at the actual workers seizing anything and empowering themselves without these cadres of alleged leaders.
and then, like clockwork, we got trudeau calling any who would not submit to him racists and sexists and science deniers. those that acceded to his neo-lysenkoism and oppression were the righteous army and the “fringe minority” who would not submit were intolerable and unacceptable.
and then the actual workers, not the playacting mascot workers of the would be despot’s imagined structures, rose up.
and this was not what the elites who claimed to stand for them wanted.
nosirree bob, it was not.
all the fairy tales were wrong.
the deplorables were supposed to be hateful and violent and vicious.
instead they were kind and friendly and fostered community.
they were peaceful but implacable.
and where it took justin years to divide canada and tear it asunder, these people united it in days.
because this is real unity, and real unity will not be denied.
and in the face of this overt instantiation of the literal liturgy of the socialist sermons and the actual realization of their purported dreams and memes, the socialists lost their minds.
OUR violent protests with burning towns and businesses are proper and just but your actually peaceful protest represents intolerable aggression.
it’s a surreal set of outcomes and all the proof you will ever need that this “socialism” and neo-marxist merchants of post-modernist grievance cults were never about emancipating anyone.
it was about inflicting fear and coercion to grab and to sustain power and position.
they did not want to remove your chains, they just wanted to be sure that they held the keys and had you locked in the right form of fetters.
this stands in stunning contrast to the response to the incredibly destructive BLM protests. were any damages there ever even discussed, much less demanded?
(this has since been deleted. i suspect the feedback was less than laudatory…)
these are not honest people. this is the tactical morality of the amoral partisan.
and a real, honest, grass roots reclamation of power by the people is their kryptonite.
these people don’t want anything from the elites, no subsidy, no sinecure, no gravy train of preferencing and priviliege.
they just want to be left alone.
and that is the one idea that no socialist can bear.
they never wanted to free you.
they wanted to rule you.
they needed you to need them.
and they cannot countenance any idea that you might not.
it is on obvious display in everything they they do and every word they say.
this incandescent rage at people actually finding their own power and freedom is not the response of a would-be liberator.
it it the screechy shibboleth of the would be despot whose hopes have been dashed.
they got what they claimed they supported and they could not bear it.
and this is because it was all lies.
this was never “for the people” it was “to the people without their consent.”
after the burning and looting they applauded and the staggering damage they have done over recent decades and the last two years in particular, this opposition to and willful mischaracterization of peaceful protest in defense of basic human liberty is beyond the pale.
and so the cowards run.
for no one can miss the truth of a lie this big.
and it is time these mendacious malevolencies masquerading as saviors were sent packing.
for they are not suited for a society of free people.
and we are done with them and all those like them.
and we have the means.
and we have the memes.
and this society is ours to create, not theirs to dictate.
Every time I see Prime Minister Blackface and Grandpa Brandon I am somewhat heartened to be reminded that Klaus and Co. ain't exactly sending their best...
The best don't think like this. The best thrive on meritocracy and want freedom and opportunity for all. Only those who fancy themselves "The Chosen" could possibly think, speak, and act as Joe, Justin, & Klaus and friends do.
Right. In Friedrich Hayek's classic book, The Road to Serfdom, there's a chapter titled "Why the Worst Get on Top" and, spoiler alert, good people don't want to take positions where they have to treat people as serfs and only the means to some globalist end.
The worst get to the top because they're psychopaths, sociopaths, and narcissists. They'll say and do anything to get to the top, then their real personalities start to come out.
That's true if the organization is structured such that the person who shows the least human empathy has a huge edge in rising up the structure. A lot of smaller organizations avoid it, in part because there's simply not enought swag to be gained by climbing to the top of those organizations to attract the real psychos. It was my position in high school considering the candidates for our offices and it's generally true out in the real world, whoever wants to hold an office the most is generally the last person whom you should trust with it.
Well, they can't have people with any actual integrity. THey would never have taken those puppet positions. Only psychopaths and sociopaths need apply...
In February 1945 most Germans knew the war was effectively over. But, some true believers kept fighting doggedly until early May.
It’s the same here in Canada now. You can feel it coming to an end, but there are still many who deny it: pushing vaccinations for children, as well as boosters, masks, vaccine passports, and hand sanitizer (!) for everyone.
There’s still a ways to go, but there’s light at the end of the convoy.
There can be a vote of non-confidence in parliament. Right now Trudeau has a minority government (his party doesn't have enough seats in the House of Commons to win any votes or pass any legislation) which means that if the Conservatives (ie. Republicans for the U.S.) teams up with the New Democrat Party (NDP - no equivalent in the U.S. as you aren't socialist) to combine their votes they could vote Trudeau and the liberal party out, and trigger an election.
The downside to this is currently the leader of the Conservatives is a wash - he's afraid to take any stand on anything and so stands for nothing. The good news is the party is in the midst of hopefully voting him out and replacing him with someone with (pardon the expression) balls. A woman, a man, doesn't matter they would have more balls than the current leader, O'Toole (so many puns to make with that name, though!).
There is another downside to triggering an election - Trudeau just triggered one in September and spent MILLIONS of taxpayer's dollars to gain yet another minority government. So naturally any party that triggers an election will need to have strong enough support in order to get over the rhetoric that would circulate about wasting yet millions more dollars in order to potentially secure a majority government.
I hope that helps! I don't understand the American system so I can understand why not everyone knows the details. We need a cross border tutorial!
Yet another downside - for obvious reasons, Conservatives and NDP do not typically agree on anything and the current leader for the NDP would like to pin us all down and forcefully inject us with the vaccine every three months....forever.
Both Trudeau (Prime Minister and leader of the minority Liberal government) and Jagmeet Singh (leader of the New Democrat Party, propping up the minority government) are products of the World Economic Forum. Same goes for Jacinda Arden the Prime Minister of New Zealand. They are not in place by accident.
BUT we have the PPC party who are against vax mandates and have never wavered from this position. This is the party with real conservative values. If all those patriotically supporting the freedom convey had voted PPC in the last election we wouldn't be in this mess.
The New Democrat party in Canada literally grew from the communist party of Canada and aren't far off from that now. Socialism at best, borderline communism at worst.
I find almost incomprehensibly depraved that anyone could possibly self-identify as a socialist or communist after a century where they slaughtered some 150 million souls.
When Trudeau was first elected, the NDP were to the right of the Liberals. They were pushing austerity. Calling them socialist or communist is just silly.
Elections Canada just announced that they "forgot" to count more ballots than the number needed to sway the election. The margin of victory for the libs was smaller than the number of uncounted ballots. In true Canadian fashion, Elections Canada says they are sorry. Oopsie.
Of course they did. So sorry we committed you to four years of hate and vitriol from a man who delusionally thinks the majority of Canadians support him! Good luck!
The other problem is that there is still a preponderance of Karens in the population, so a vote at this time could return a majority. We need time and to hope for some awakening.
Watch what happens with the disruption of the food supply. The "narrative" and MSM will blame the truckers and "unVaxxed" when in fact the rulers created it intentionally. This will become a worldwide problem as the price and availability of fertilisers has been compromised.
At this point he could be controlled opposition. At best, he's weak and spineless. At worst, he's hindering any real progress for anyone who doesn't agree with mandates.
If the parliamentary system in Canada worked as intended, Canadian Prime Ministers would live in daily fear, not of the opposition parties, but of their own backbenchers. Canadian Liberal Party backbenchers appear to be NPCs, even in their own lives.
I don’t see any “peaceful” resolution because he’s an arrogant little prick. HOWEVER, he is a COWARDLY little prick so he may “decide to come to a solution” before his Make-up starts running.
I hope he takes a walk in the snow. A long walk. So long. Oh, I'm so cold. Oh, wait, I'm warm now. But so tired. I'll just rest here by this snowbank. So cozy, so warm. I'm so tired. I'll just close my eyes. GOODBYE JUSTIN.
I was pleased yesterday to see that Premier Moe of Saskatchewan announced an end to the vaccine passport system there. He has always been the most Covid-sceptic of the ten premiers but that's not saying much. Today, Premier Legault of Quebec has announced that they will not proceed with the punitive tax on the unvaccinated in that province. The truckers are changing the political weather in Canada (though, unfortunately, snow and continued cold weather is heading their way). Godspeed to them.
We are going to help shovel the truckers out to keep their vehicles clear tomorrow!
Meanwhile in Ontario, Premier Doug Ford has announced that he does not support the trucker movement, and that it's reprehensible. He wants to be reelected in June and he knows he needs to keep the majority of Ontarians on his side so he's treading carefully. If Toronto votes against him, he's screwed. There's not enough people in the rest of Ontario to keep him in power, no matter how many support him. He needs Toronto and knows it.
I had to think very carefully about voting for Maxime Bernier in the last federal election but in the end voted for O'Toole because I didn't want to split my vote. If everyone who had voted for Bernier had voted for O'Toole Trudeau may not have won. I knew that Trudeau was going to punish unvaccinated and treated my vote very carefully for that reason. My thinking is maybe the two parties could blend like what happened in the 90s with Preston Manning's Reformed Party, because right now the Conservatives are nothing but Liberals with a different brand colour.
Ottawa is the new Woodstock (Oh Joni, what happened to you? I digress). When your grandchildren ask you about Covid, you can say you stood with the truckers on Parliament Hill. Win or lose - and, whisper it, but I think the truckers are going to win - history will look kindly on you.
You are so right. I did the same in the last election and now am kicking myself. Sometimes I wonder if people in the east, Toronto Montreal even know there is more to Canada. I think if there is no change following this convoy the west will really want to split. Trudeau is really showing his real colours which are not pretty!
It is also over in the US now but the elites refuse to give it up. Just yesterday I read that the Hershey Company (chocolate candy bars, et al.) is imposing vaccine mandates and will fire all non-complying employees at the end of February. Meanwhile, The Disney Company, General Electric and many others have dropped them. What gives with outliers like Hershey? I think that the decisions come from Woke HR Departments, which in many companies have been taken over by the Left. Think about this the next time you have an urge for some chocolate. Check out the other brands.
HR, just like H&R Block etc., only exist because of government.
Try to imagine how much wealthier we would all be if the vast sums spent on how to comply with the maze of government labor regulations and figuring out how much one must pay them in plunder.
I know. 😶 But they still make the best chocolate. Seriously, they're the # candy maker. Hershey's is #2. Nestle is #3. I don't like Hershey's, but it's still better than Nestle.
I believe that OSHA withdrew the emergency part of the proposal and was going to pursue it on a non-emergency basis. Translate from bureaucraticise: It's dead but we'll try to save some face.
They said they might. Chances are pretty good that they'll just lay it die down since the SCOTUS made it clear that they don't have this kind of vast authority. They might try it anyway, of course, but it doesn't look like they stand much of a chance. It should be good and dead now.
They are doubling down here in Calif. Misinformation is flying at an even higher speed from the gov and propaganda merchants, like the LA Times, Eric Topol, etc.
I know what you mean. I definitely get that feeling when reading one of the twitter threads that popped up after I clicked on the video. What a depressing representation of soulless zombies, chanting the "just get vaxxed and all your problems will be over" lie . I don't have a twitter, so I couldn't post, but there was so much to be said to those sheeple. Wow, I should not have gone down that rabbit hole! Every time I feel like things are looking up, the idiot brigade rears its ugly head, but I really do hope it's the last gasps of the Covidocracy. I pray for the truckers who are standing up for freedom, they are an inspiration. I am ready to go when ours starts here in the States!!
Believe it or not, in Ontario it is. Virtually all businesses have some at their entrances, often with a sign beside it: “Customers must sanitize their hands.”
I used to politely note to store employees that it does nothing to slow the transmission of covid, but I’ve stopped. Me telling them was having about as much impact as me using the sanitizer.
This is why we have different words. This is not marxism or communism. This is authoritarianism or totalitarianism working toward a global oligarchical or even feudal system.
No, the WEF wants to control your life through corporatism. Marxism actually has a definition and these people don’t align with it. Marxism also isn’t just a generic synonym for “evil.” Just because someone isn’t Marxist doesn’t mean I’m endorsing them. That doesn’t seem like a difficult concept to grasp. So I’m not sure why you’re lashing out so much. I’m not defending them. I’m just in favor of maintaining intellectual clarity and precision.
I'm saying Marxists and globalist corporatists will create the same exact thing. I'm saying I don't care very much what trappings they wear when their activities have the same outcome.
Both will claim the moral high ground in creating collectivist, redistributionist utopias by force.
I'm also utterly bored with the insistence that "real" leftist revolutionary theories have never been tried. How many mulligans do you get?
I very much agree. I understand this misuse of categories by Americans has its roots in Cold War rethoric, but, I must say, it can be pretty confusing for people elsewhere. I sincerely have great difficulties in viewing the Democratic party and the Biden administration as a den of marxists, or in labelling the boys and girls at the WEF as rabid communists. Maybe we should come up with new categories to understand this new reality (bio-authoritarians? Technototalitarians? Turbo-plutocrats? Sanitary fascists?), but in the meantime I agree that just plain "authoritarians" or "totalitarianis" can do the trick.
True that... which is why I encourage people from dropping the extremely outdated terms "left" and "right". Where things are heading, there is only the "rulers" and the "ruled".
If you had told me that some years ago, I would've utterly disregarded it as just another hollow and politically illiterate remark, but now I'm starting to realise that there is more to it than I thought. Just watching everyone on both the right and the left loose their marbles over this new brand of pandemic completely messed up my political coordinates. The cleavage is somewhere else now, and that is freedom vs authoritarianism, broadly speaking. Let's not forget that many ruled just wanna be ruled even harder. Anyways, you live you learn.
I hope you get to experience communism. Then you can tell me how it's different from totalitarianism or authoritarianism. Assuming you aren't shot by the secret police the moment you open your mouth and buried in an unmarked grave.
Or, oh, please give me a speech about "real" communism. It's been hours.
Real communism has never been achieved, nor has real open markets and pure capitalism. Communism generally turns into totalitarianism and capitalism generally becomes fascism, as it is becoming in this country. But, yes, in theory a democrat communist state could exist, just as democratic socialist states do exist. We have several socialist countries in Europe, and they work quite well (well, until this point, but we're not doing so hot either, so . . .). Saying these people want "communism" is a joke. If they wanted communism, the would be demanding we nationalize the pharmaceutical companies and the big tech companies. They're not. They're working toward a system where a very few people own everything, the exact opposite of communism.
Eh no. Communism in fact has always been about a few people owning everything and the rest owning nothing. Formalities aside, that's what it is for all practical purposes. Deny it all you want.
No, they have control and access, but only because they are at the top of the party hierarchy. They can fall out of favor at any point. They really "own" nothing. There's a difference. We sound ignorant when we misuse words and ideas. I am not fond of communism because I don't think it would really work. It is counter to human nature. But I feel the same thing about pure capitalism. It always devolves into something ugly, as we're seeing.
Adding on Lillia Gajewski's comment, I would have to point out that many (most) of the European and Latin American trade unions, and the historical workers movement as a whole, have their roots in XIX century socialist thought. Think what you may about current trade unions, but thanks to their historical struggle is that we now have workers rights and a welfare system (I think that's a reasonable achievement, others may not). And yeah, authoritarianism can come under many guises. Never lived under a communist regime, but I know life in a neoliberal paradise and, believe me, it ain't pretty for a lot of people. Anyway, I just want to make a case for democracy, which is always on the making and is the result of a lot historical and many times antagonistic movements. Peace and love
Thank you. We have many "socialist" elements in our country: medicare, social security (do the math; I have), the social welfare net, public school, public infrastructure, public police forces, public fire departments. And yes workers unions were born out of the socialist movement and they saved the American worker and gave him/her a much better life. This is why I hate this smearing of the *ideas* of socialism and communism. And there are happy people in communist systems. I've read books written by Russians and seen articles written by Cubans. They defend their systems just like we defend ours. Not everything is gloom and despair, even there. The best system is one that takes a bunch of ideas, even contradictory ones, and pulls the best from all of them to create a healthier system for all. And yes democracy is important, but I would argue that what we have now, due not to voting rights, but just due to our two party system and the stranglehold our elites have on the electoral process, isn't a true democracy, representational or straight, and until you address that, we won't have a true democracy and all this fighting about voting rights and who should vote is a distraction.
Someone on Twitter posted: "The Mayor of Ottawa called some tow companies and asked them to start towing trucks out of the city. The tow companies reply? 'We've got Co-vid.'"
Just like the RCMP down at Coutts AB. They called tow truck companies who also "declined" to help clear the border blockade. Instead, more truckers are reportedly joining the group refusing to leave!
Good to hear. I was watching some videos about what's going on down in Alberta. I saw a video from inside a cafe, with police facing a huge crowd of convoyers "negotiating" with them. (In reality, they were simply demanding that the truckers leave because of "orders.") In a Rebel News report, I think, a reporter said that police had left a blockade nearby unattended to go deal with the border trucks, and while they were dealing with the border trucks, the trucks near the blockade took advantage and drove on through to join the border trucks. So it looks like there may be even more trucks now.
It's true and a similar thing is happening in Alberta but they just told them straight up no way they don't want to get involved, they need the people in the communities to trust them and if they start towing truckers they're done. I love it. One towing company was at the border with the truckers and the RCMP approached him to tow and he said no I'm here protesting too lol
I saw this JT commencement speech this morning and could not resist adding to the meme stack
I posted on Gab, but, alas, I cannot paste the meme in here, so here are the pertinent words from Justin Trudeau's commencement speech to NYU in May, 2018:
"... LET YOURSELF BE VULNERABLE TO ANOTHER POINT OF VIEW. THAT'S WHAT TAKES TRUE COURAGE.
"TO OPEN YOURSELF TO ANOTHER'S CONVICTION AND RISK BEING CONVINCED A LITTLE OR A LOT OF THE VALIDITY OF THEIR PERSPECTIVE ... HEH ... NOW THAT'S SCARY ... DISCOVERING SOMEONE YOU MAY VEHEMENTLY DISAGREE WITH MIGHT HAVE A POINT ... MIGHT EVEN BE RIGHT."
I have a sneaking suspicion that many people were starting to catch on to the fact that life in the big D cities wasn't exactly what they promised. No matter how much money goes to 'fixing the problems', nothing ever actually gets fixed because then the cronies wouldn't get any money next year. It's how Seattle spends a zillion dollars on the homeless and gets more homeless people -- so clearly more spending is needed!
“The first question I asked Jason (former leader of the Seattle Human Services Department, Jason Johnson) was when he started in 2018, the budget was under $90 million for homelessness, and now it’s $165 million for 2021. And of course, the problem obviously has not gotten better, so I think it’s a legitimate one. I don’t think there’s a lot of discussion out there about when we’re funding fixes versus funding like survival services,” he said.
Government is, and always has been, nothing more than a scam.
"It is the state that is robbing all classes, rich and poor, black and white, worker and businessman alike; it is the state that is ripping us all off; it is the state that is the common enemy of mankind."
"The State's criminality is nothing new and nothing to be wondered at. It began when the first predatory group of men who clustered together and formed the State, and it will continue as long as the State exists in the world, because the State is fundamentally an anti-social institution, fundamentally criminal. The idea that the State originated to serve any kind of social purpose is completely unhistorical. It originated in conquest and confiscation – that is to say, in crime. It originated for the purpose of maintaining the division of society into an owning-and-exploiting class and a propertyless dependent class – that is, for a criminal purpose.
No State known to history originated in any other manner, or for any other purpose. Like all predatory or parasitic institutions, its first instinct is that of self-preservation. All its enterprises are directed first towards preserving its own life, and, second, towards increasing its own power and enlarging the scope of its own activity. For the sake of this it will, and regularly does, commit any crime which circumstances make expedient.
.....
Here is the Golden Rule of sound citizenship, the first and greatest lesson in the study of politics:
You get the same order of criminality from any State to which you give power to exercise it; and whatever power you give the State to do things FOR you carries with it the equivalent power to do things TO you."
~ Albert Jay Nock, The Criminality of the State, American Mercury, March 1939.
That's why government should protect our rights and very very little else. (Foreign diplomacy, etc) The more government controls, the worse things get.
Well, we are going to have to agree to disagree on that.
The protection of rights is the most important function of a society. Far too important to be left to an organization with the track record of the State.
States have slaughtered some 250 million souls in the last century or so, and impoverished, displaced and oppressed countless millions more.
The State should not be permitted to exist, let alone given power over anything.
That's why the founders put some things (hypothetically) beyond the reach of government. No matter how many people think you should be locked up for what you say, the government (again hypothetically) is barred from doing so.
America once had a majority of citizens that held what we now call the Non-Aggression Principle as a core value.
It was historically known as the Golden Rule: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
The corollary, Silver Rule, was also widespread: Do not do unto others that which you would not have them do to you.
A century of leftism/progressivism/socialism has completely upended these fundamental principles, and transformed a formerly largely informed and free people into ignorant hordes clamoring for the expropriation and oppression of their fellow citizens.
The leftists played the long game to get us here. We need to play the long game to reverse it.
Seattle, near where I live, will never "fix" the homeless problem until the politicians admit that it is created by the use of drugs and take the steps necessary to fix the drug problem. Sadly, there is no will to fix the drug problem since it would require a massive physical separation of the addicted from drugs. This is not rocket science!
This was a great expose about the situation, with the point being what you state above: Seattle will now just let you do anything, any time. Open-air drug use? Fine. Overtake the public park with tent cities? No problem.
Before I was told to hit the road for being a leper at my ex-workplace, I told my ex-boss that if they required truckers to get vaccinated that they wouldn't just say "NO" but "HELL NO!"
I guess I was right. Ex-bossman was a bit of an elitist prick. He knew nothing about truckers and their mindset. I come from a family of truckers and have worked in logistics/shipping most of my life. Somehow I knew the uprising would come from truckers. Now if only US truckers would do the same and end this medical tyranny once and for all.
Exactly right. Many of the people preaching socialism do so merely as a pretext to grab more power for themselves.
The “Build Back Better” stuff has been discredited over and over, both historically and theoretically. It’s just Central Planning Redux. The arrogant and incompetent have decided to run things again.
Read Adam Smith, Friedrich Hayek, Milton Friedman. They demolished the arguments for government central planning. The people in charge have terrible incentives and lack adequate information to run a complex economy.
Only a decentralized system that respects individual choice can bring prosperity and allow human beings to flourish.
Now people realie that worker owned co ops were what marx really wanted, not what the USSR etc did, which was state capitalism.. Whether the state or private corps own the business, it doesn't matter, it gives them control over the government and the people.
Addressing targeting the populace, decades before big data and micro-targeting, Ellul wrote that in propaganda “…the individual never is considered as an individual, but always in terms of what he has in common with others, such as his motivations, his feelings, or his myths. He is reduced to an average; and, except for a small percentage, action based on averages will be effectual.” (p. 7) This explanation appears timeless. However, technology now allows us ever-greater market segmentation, and therefore ever-smaller groups can be targeted with disinformation based on their shared views. Mass movements arise from the connection of motivated people with like-minded others. Strengthening those connections and making the connected group even more like-minded can be accomplished through amplifying information that reinforces common views and minimizing exposure to information that effectively challenges shared views. Amplifying supportive voices while minimizing opposing ones occurs in what we now call “filter bubbles.”
Regarding “filter bubbles,” Ellul wrote “Propaganda tends to make the individual live in a separate world; he must not have outside points of reference.” (p. 17). Ellul went on to say and modern research supports) that “Those who read the press of their group and listen to the radio of their group are constantly reinforced in their allegiance.”(p. 213) Social and traditional media information outlets on radio, television, and the internet allow us to self-select what information we even see, much less accept. To avoid the cognitive dissonance of contrary opinions, we can deny ourselves outside points of reference, and thereby reinforce our own allegiances.
A small correction regarding the Ottawa City Manager's tweet:
GoFundMe never froze Freedom Convoy's funds. Fake news in an effort to get the public to stop donating. With the funds they presently have they can afford to keep this going for years. Press Conference, convoy organizers:
The problem is, in Marxist/leftist areas there are many people who see themselves as the ruling elite. They don’t realize they truly have no power in the face of the ruling class. But they think they are intellectually superior and therefore they are superior. It’s a rude awakening to found out they’re not. Something like an embargo on stuff they want may help them see the light.
Brilliant! Thank you!!! These leftist, globalist, elitist leaders of countries around the world are incompatible with a civil and rational society. They are incompatible with truth, freedom, and humanity.
The Cat is knocking it out of orbit with these posts!
During the fifties the marxists realised workers despise them, because workers wants to make enough to give their children something more than they themself grew up with. Cue focus-change to the useless segment of the middle and upper classes.
The effect? Late sixties radicalism, which then rapidly subsided into an endless morass of drug abuse, cults, and other perfidy.
And then comes the early nineties, and queer theory, post modernsim, decostructionism and memetics (yes, memetics was a scholarly discipline in the early nineties - a subfield to semiotics and semantics). And this time, having washed away anything resembling theories of history, economics or really anything connected to reality the aging corpse of chic pinko bourgeois bolsjevism-to-provoke-mumsy-and-papa to apoplexy - this time it proved the perfect tool for those who rule.
I suspect that the vast majority of the truckers in Ottawa are owner-operators making them more entrepreneurial than classical Marxist "working class" but the rally-targeted elitists certainly include those Cultural Marxists who, these days tend to vacillate between the yearning for the serfdom of socialism and the state-aligned corporatism and illiberal dictates of fascism, both variants of statism exemplified by the so-called left.
Effing brilliant! Now may other nations rise up and emulate the brave Canuck Truckers!
Deplorables unite!
Rule #1 of ditches (for Bieber’s namesake): Stop digging when you’re already too deep to escape. But the spoiled brat who’s hiding from Canadian citizens is deaf to your message. For he is the quintessential “more equal” party.
Toss the puppy come next election. And give Dorval Airport its name back. After all, wasn’t Mirabel his daddy’s pet white elephant?
This is beautiful! Thank you!! And you are so right and righteous in your comments just like the people are right and righteous to demand their freedom that was unlawfully taken by tyrants!
There is truth here, but underlying it is a basic misunderstanding of what socialism is, and what the current liberal elite are. The current liberal elite are not liberal, and they are certainly not "left wing." Socialism is about as much a part of their ideology as it is for Trump. They are conservatives and authoritarians, and don't much differ from Republicans in their ideology except in the things they want to control. No Republican wants civil liberties any more than these clowns do. It just so happens that the liberties they want to abolish are slightly different. Two wings; same bird. Socialism and communism are not inherently authoritarian. Socialism is BY DEFINITION democratic. In fact, it is quite possible to be a libertarian socialist or communist--neither need be top-down systems. The important thing to note is the hypocrisy, as you said, between what these shitlibs pretend to stand for, and what they actually stand for. Their liberal pretensions are all theatre. But it is also critical to recognize that authoritarianism is bad on the right too--one need only to visit Congress and the Senate to get a good look at what each "side" wants to mandate.
So the early Christians were authoritarian? The current Hutterites? The many many early city states that pre-dated Athens? You are incorrect. There have been countless societies in history that were egalitarian and not authoritarian. All large nation states are authoritarian, no matter whether they are capitalist or something else. All you have to do is look at current events to know that. Some of the city states in early history I mentioned lasted hundreds and hundreds of years, and were large enough to have wards with council members. They had absolutely no societal stratification, no elite, no aristocrats, no king or queen. Socialism if it grows from the bottom up and is voluntary can be libertarian.
Marx and Engels were describing a particular kind of state that is egalitarian, but they were not the only kind of socialists, and they didn't invent socialism. There is a kind of libertarian socialism called Fabian socialism, and that is the socialism I am talking about here. It has that name because there were a number of British proponents of it in the 19th c. But again, they did not invent it. Socialism does not necessarily do away with private property at all. For example, there were city states in Mesopotamia that lasted for 1000 years that were extremely equitable that clearly had private property. But it was bottom up egalitarianism--everyone had their own house and garden, but though houses were different and decorated differently, there was no significant difference in size or quality. Each house had its own goods. But there is no sign of a king or palace or "government buildings." There is a temple to the city's god. The city had communal fields, and apparently everyone was expected to spend time working there or hunting and gathering. Food not grown in one's own garden was shared. There were rituals and feast days devoted to the city deity, and apparently that was a unification point, a way of demarcating themselves from other cities. Such cities also often had a particular product they were famous for, like pottery, jewelry or metalwork that they traded with other cities for goods that city was trading. So there was commerce for sure, but there does not seem to have been a drive for individual profit. Not at all suggesting these cities were utopias--I'm sure there was just as much human nastiness there as anywhere else. All I'm saying is that it's incorrect to assume that egalitarian societies are necessarily authoritarian. No one is planning to "come for your home and property." Good grief. I would not let anyone come for my home and property either.
Dad was from Quebec. He had a saying, 'Your freedom stops at the end of my nose'. I think about that every day now. Injected bioweapons are def. out of the question given this metric, and I will never take an injection for my 'health'. Never even took the flu shots, cuz...they could put ANYTHING in those vials. And what do you know, they did.
I've had that same phrase thrown in my face almost daily as an explanation of why there are absolutely no limits to what I and my body must submit to for the protection of others.
ah, the 'we jab to protect each other' lie which was sellable until....i saw the damages with my own eyes. Now that the blood is literally seeping out from under the wreckage, it seems apparent that no amount of protection promised could offset the permanent bodily damage caused by these jabs. Your freedom stops where, then? (wrt 'me')
You can have equality or quality, but you can't have both.
I bet you think there's a way to square that circle, a way to give everyone a chance, to have affirmative action for all social interactions. But that's a fantasy. Back in reality, the only way to test for exceptions, is if you're a mindreader. Otherwise, by the time you find out you've made a mistake, it's too late to do anything about it. Meanwhile, the identity group that you're not catering to, will get their widdle feewings hurt, and come back at you to take revenge.
A bit of context: The founder of BLM - Patrisse Cullors - did in the summer of 2020 refer to herself and others in the org as "trained Marxists" (as in the first meme above) - it was spoken as a boast, a badge of credibility. And, as is better known, she subsequently developed a penchant for pricey, fenced off, real estate. The meme therefore has real accuracy.
Socialism -- and even going back to the French Revolution before formal Socialism existed -- has always been for The People in the abstract. The actual literal existing people are merely an obstacle.
I'm getting a little disturbed by the gradually rising tide of "real socialism has never been tried" I'm starting to hear around here.
The lefties are hoping for a way to keep their tribe when the dust settles from this. It's playing right into the WEF's hands. Totalitarianism is ALWAYS sold as socialism. They'll gobble it up.
I continue to be amazed at how you can just keep churning out such amazingly accurate musings...
Errr…meowsings
They're purrrr-fect.

“Those who show the least human empathy”…
Ever hear about upper class women in sororities scoring/grading the newbies who are rushing?
No, what were they doing, reproaching young women for feeling like young women rather than the worst middle aged men?
🎯🎯🎯
true. best people. But the best of "their" bad actors, well, I hope the AOC and Trudeau, etc. are their best.
it would be great if it was their best
Their "best" is corrupt mediocrity...
Well, they can't have people with any actual integrity. THey would never have taken those puppet positions. Only psychopaths and sociopaths need apply...
what I mean by "best" is the best at socipathy

Oh that made me feel so much better somehow 😅. Thank you for that!
🤣🤣
In February 1945 most Germans knew the war was effectively over. But, some true believers kept fighting doggedly until early May.
It’s the same here in Canada now. You can feel it coming to an end, but there are still many who deny it: pushing vaccinations for children, as well as boosters, masks, vaccine passports, and hand sanitizer (!) for everyone.
There’s still a ways to go, but there’s light at the end of the convoy.
I'm not Canadian, so honest question:
How can you get rid of Trudeau peacefully, yet against his will?
I don't see the cowardly little Castro Bastard resigning willingly.
The PPC ran that Mark-Pothead-guy (I'm blanking on his name). They did not come across as a serious party, to me, because of that.
Marc Emery. Pot is legal in Canada.
Sounds like the Canadian New Democrats are similar to our "new" Democrats...
Just beyond nauseating.
Oopsie.
“It’s not who votes that counts, It’s who counts the votes.”

🎯🎯🎯
Of course they did. So sorry we committed you to four years of hate and vitriol from a man who delusionally thinks the majority of Canadians support him! Good luck!
Curious. “Give gift”. What dat?
that's outrageous
That's the left.
Machiavelli would be so proud.
What the ??? 😳😳😳
Disruption of the food supply…and/or inflation of food prices…ketchup is going up 17%…stock up kiddos!
A great help, many thanks.
Lord politics suck.
If Americans really understood our system Joe Biden would not be President today!
FJB! was not legally voted in. A new documentary/movie, with evidence, called "2000 Mules," is supposed to come out soon.
You need a Tory rebellion.
Thank you so much. I understand it so much better. Had no idea about O'Toole. Could he be a wolf in sheep's clothing?
At this point he could be controlled opposition. At best, he's weak and spineless. At worst, he's hindering any real progress for anyone who doesn't agree with mandates.
Nope
A globalist sellout.
Canada has no opposition.
So true!
If the parliamentary system in Canada worked as intended, Canadian Prime Ministers would live in daily fear, not of the opposition parties, but of their own backbenchers. Canadian Liberal Party backbenchers appear to be NPCs, even in their own lives.
There is very little I am more in favor of than Canadian Prime Ministers and every other mountebank at every level living in daily fear.
Far better them than us.
He looked bloated and yellow at his press conference yesterday. Whatever he has, could it be fatal? (Asking for a friend.)
Yes! I thought his face was bloated. Maybe an infusion, monoclonal or electrolytes. Or kidney damage.
Who is this chubby cheeked guy with gaps between his front teeth?
Sure isn't Trudeau.
Recent events have caused his inner chicken to start to ooze out.
Just wait until the chickenshitting starts.
💥💥💥
I don’t see any “peaceful” resolution because he’s an arrogant little prick. HOWEVER, he is a COWARDLY little prick so he may “decide to come to a solution” before his Make-up starts running.
I've spent quite a bit of time in Canada and know quite a few Canadians and swilled a Molson Canadian or two hundred.
I just don't see them rising up in violent rebellion.
Perhaps, like his father, he will take a walk in the snow & resign.
His comments on Cuba and China are 😵💫😵💫😵💫
No time like the present!
🎯🎯🎯
I did vote for Bernier but the conservative MP in our riding has a very safe seat, so I just wanted to Show Maxime some support
You are so right. I did the same in the last election and now am kicking myself. Sometimes I wonder if people in the east, Toronto Montreal even know there is more to Canada. I think if there is no change following this convoy the west will really want to split. Trudeau is really showing his real colours which are not pretty!
😇 🙏
It is also over in the US now but the elites refuse to give it up. Just yesterday I read that the Hershey Company (chocolate candy bars, et al.) is imposing vaccine mandates and will fire all non-complying employees at the end of February. Meanwhile, The Disney Company, General Electric and many others have dropped them. What gives with outliers like Hershey? I think that the decisions come from Woke HR Departments, which in many companies have been taken over by the Left. Think about this the next time you have an urge for some chocolate. Check out the other brands.
HR Departments are headed by psychology and sociology majors who graduated from lib universities
…so there’s that
HR, just like H&R Block etc., only exist because of government.
Try to imagine how much wealthier we would all be if the vast sums spent on how to comply with the maze of government labor regulations and figuring out how much one must pay them in plunder.
Not to mention how much more free.
I've been boycotting Hershey ever since I had my own earnings to spend. They use child labor and their products suck.
Nestle is worse (#3). Hershey is #2. m&m/Mars is #1.
M&M/Mars has gone woke, too. They've "diversified" their dancing candies in their M&M ads. 🙄
I know. 😶 But they still make the best chocolate. Seriously, they're the # candy maker. Hershey's is #2. Nestle is #3. I don't like Hershey's, but it's still better than Nestle.
I don’t think it is really over and wasn’t OSHA going to attempt to apply mandates even after the court shot it down?
I believe that OSHA withdrew the emergency part of the proposal and was going to pursue it on a non-emergency basis. Translate from bureaucraticise: It's dead but we'll try to save some face.
That's it exactly.
They said they might. Chances are pretty good that they'll just lay it die down since the SCOTUS made it clear that they don't have this kind of vast authority. They might try it anyway, of course, but it doesn't look like they stand much of a chance. It should be good and dead now.
I just read that Disneyland (in California) is still pushing the jab mandate for its employees.
https://voiceofoc.org/2022/01/disneyland-moves-to-implement-vaccine-mandate-for-workers/
Been boycotting Disney since they went woke- grandmother of 5 under 5
Wish people would boycott. Vax and unvax need to unite like Canada. What is considered fully vax today might not be tomorrow.
m&m/Mars. NEVER Nestle.
Classic cognitive dissonance playing out in real-time.
Hand sanitizer (!) …???
Is that still a thing ???
Believe it or not, in Ontario it is. Virtually all businesses have some at their entrances, often with a sign beside it: “Customers must sanitize their hands.”
I used to politely note to store employees that it does nothing to slow the transmission of covid, but I’ve stopped. Me telling them was having about as much impact as me using the sanitizer.
Make a list of the names of the 'To The Bitter End'-ers. Never trust them again.
This is why we have different words. This is not marxism or communism. This is authoritarianism or totalitarianism working toward a global oligarchical or even feudal system.
That’s true. But the oligarchs love Marxist rhetoric. It draws a lot of support from useful idiots.
If Marxists do it, it isn't Marxism? Interesting.
The WEF wants to redistribute my land. So do Marxists. So...
Oh, also, if you think mild sarcasm is "lashing out so much," you're either being tactically hyperbolic or you exist in a very safe interactive space.
Adorable.
If this is true, it's delicious.
Yeeessss!!! 💪
Delicious 😋😋😋 Yummy !
Will the real JT please stand up?
Sadly, I think he is more transparent now than at any time in his adult life
I'm sure he didn't write that
Recall that he was a drama teacher
Not a good one. He got fired.
Lol they should play that on loud speakers in Ottawa
I have a sneaking suspicion that many people were starting to catch on to the fact that life in the big D cities wasn't exactly what they promised. No matter how much money goes to 'fixing the problems', nothing ever actually gets fixed because then the cronies wouldn't get any money next year. It's how Seattle spends a zillion dollars on the homeless and gets more homeless people -- so clearly more spending is needed!
https://mynorthwest.com/2613056/seattle-homelessness-spending/
~ Murray Rothbard
“Government is not reason, it is not eloquence,—it is force.
Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master; never for a moment should it be left to irresponsible action.”
-george washington
You’re starting to sound like a reincarnation of Ayn Rand 😎
We're starting to live in a world of Ayn Rand villains.

"The measure of the state's success is that the word 'anarchy' frightens people, while the word 'state' does not."
~ Joseph Sobran
That's why the founders put some things (hypothetically) beyond the reach of government. No matter how many people think you should be locked up for what you say, the government (again hypothetically) is barred from doing so.
Probably why there is such a effort to have policing become Federal or federally supported, then they can arrest you for what you think
Insurrectionist talk! It's the USA PATRIOT Act for you!
Indeed they did.
Sadly, it is hard to argue that their experiment in limited government has not been a complete failure.
Usurpation is the core instinct of the State. It has always been so, and always will be.
Something something, tree of liberty, something something, blood of tyrants. ;)
Anarchy requires educated adult citizens who do no harm and understand voluntary trade. We couldn't be farther from that right now, unfortunately.
Yes.
Now we have Karen’s, screaming at you from 20 feet away to put your mask on. Bad trade
I so agree. Thank you!
A bunch if blundering idiots left to their means still beats the state.
Sadly, Portland has been taking lessons from Seattle, with the same predictable results.

This was a great expose about the situation, with the point being what you state above: Seattle will now just let you do anything, any time. Open-air drug use? Fine. Overtake the public park with tent cities? No problem.
Your link, SC, is a follow-up to the excellent "Seattle is Dying" - an excellent video on the problem in all major blue cities.

Big D cities also have huge amounts of graft to pay. How much actually goes to "fix" anything out if every dollar?
The answer to that seems to be "Just under none of it."
Pretty much what I thought.
That just means we need to spend more!
NOT! 😊
Our truckers need to be really careful if/when they do. The Teamsters can be a nasty bunch. That can hurt us and them if they get rowdy.
This one cracked me up:

God bless you, Gato, you are brilliant, you are brave-hearted, you are a force to be reckoned with, and you are hilarious. And loved by many.
"When the Gods wish to punish us, they answer our prayers."—Oscar Wilde
Praise the Gods for answering leftists' prayers in Ottawa.
One person one vote
now we also need
One person one vote ECONOMICALLY/business wise

Press Conference, convoy organizers:
https://rumble.com/vtp2lw-freedom-convoy-organizers-press-conference.html
They probably should collect on multiple platforms to decentralize and reduce the risk regardless.
All the books and theory in the world get shattered by reality.
Brilliant! Thank you!!! These leftist, globalist, elitist leaders of countries around the world are incompatible with a civil and rational society. They are incompatible with truth, freedom, and humanity.
I need to re-subscribe under a bunch of different names so I can give this all the likes it deserves.
Nah, just share it. Propagate to educate.
Methinks the Cat may be a Smilodon in hiding.
It is apparent the world needs more trucks and drivers with steel in their spines-
Given that we in the States elected Brandon, we don't have a lot to crow about, but still, why on earth do Canadians keep electing that pussy Trudeau?
What do you mean "we"?
Stop being so meme to Trudeau
https://nakedemperor.substack.com/
> Socialism and communism are not inherently authoritarian. Socialism is BY DEFINITION democratic.
And yet every single socialist or communist state since the origin of the words has been authoritarian.
Every. Single. One.
Please reread this phrase:
>> And yet every single
>>socialist or communist
>>state since the origin of
>>the words has been
>>authoritarian.
I'm fairly certain Neolithic cities weren't basing their governance on the teachings of Marx and Engels.
But by all means, remain fixated on collectivism. Just find some real tough guys when you come for my home and property to redistribute it.
All your memes are belong to us.
you are fucking gorgeous
Bang. On. The. Money. Have a kipper.
(wrt 'me')
thanks Gm
Listen Baditude, I don't know who you think you are, but I think you are the bomb!

Justin? Justin? Justin who? Who's Justin? Ohhhhhhhhhhhh, that Justin! Racist, Canadian Primed Minstrel BlackFace!!!
I'm not sure there is a feast fancy enough for you, gato.

I first read that as fancy feast enough for you, gato. Fancy feast, the only food my cat will eat!
THIS!!! - so spot on. Thank you
A bit of context: The founder of BLM - Patrisse Cullors - did in the summer of 2020 refer to herself and others in the org as "trained Marxists" (as in the first meme above) - it was spoken as a boast, a badge of credibility. And, as is better known, she subsequently developed a penchant for pricey, fenced off, real estate. The meme therefore has real accuracy.
Calling them feudalists would be more accurate.
Canadians: who is Candice Bergen who is going viral for supporting the truckers in Parliament?
Thank you from canada. ❤️🙋🏻♀️🙏🏻🇨🇦
THAT WAS EPIC!
What a great article! Love the pictures! I’ve already passed them along and posted to twitter (that’s the only reason I keep the damn account). Meow……
To borrow from "Atlas Shrugged" by Ayn Rand, "who is John Galt?" There are also 3 movies based on the book if you don't want to read the book.
Well written.
Beautiful and sustaining truth. Thank you.
