it's so infuriating for me to see unmasked adults who mask the kids around them. makes we want to vomit. our society is so backwards right now.

Expand full comment

The purpose of masking children is to break their will and spirit, confuse and isolate them, and condition them to be obedient out of fear of humiliation and guilt.

They work just fine.

Seriously. Such a dangerous place to go with the mind. I teach my children daily to rebel and not to fear the virus or the mask happy school administrators.

I get so angry when I see parents unmasked with masked children. I also get angry when I see masked parents with masked children but there’s something deeply disgusting about throwing your children under the bus in a fruitless attempt to appease useless hypochondriac narcissists. I wish I could protect my young children from these imbeciles but I do what I can to make sure our lives are as normal as possible

Child abuse. Those people are horrible, horrible, horrible.

Compare what you can of the facial expressions too. The kids look despondent and disinterested. The clowns are all so giddy and prideful.

In years to come, people are going to look back at photos of milestone events with their masked kids (well, adults too, but kids especially). I can imagine they'll have so much regret when they can't see their kids' faces and wonder if some of these future parents and grandparents will realize memories of their kids' faces have gone fuzzy.

Creates a violence in me that is hard to repress. What society in the history of the world has sacrificed the very young for the imagined benefit of the most elderly and already waning?

The lunacy of Fauci who is 80 and in highest risk group for Covid death, pushing policy that benefits himself meanwhile sacrificing the quality of lives of the young and their future and pretending like it actually benefits them too. Infuriating.

Meanwhile high school and college kids - many have barely been to in person classes since early 2020, and many admit that they didn’t learn a thing last year. And this is ok with these old public health tyrants.

Covid only gets you when you're standing. But also COVID only gets you when you are three feet tall or shorter like these little kids. But if you are sitting at three feet high you're fine.

can't we just use restaurant tables for school desks? seems like then the kids could take their masks off.

Fauci now recommends strapping a 7-year-old to your face to act as a shield that absorbs all covid particles!

I'm struggling with parents who don't like this, tolerating this happening to their kids.

Maybe I can get around parents who cannot find alternatives for their kids. But seems pulling their kids seems the most sane and reasonable reaction to this bat shit crazy stuff

I only hope we're raising the greatest generation of libertarians the world has ever seen. I want Gen-X to look like a conformist group by the time these kids are grown.

that's a big hope, but I second it

I’m sure all those brave, selfless parents gave up their masks for their children.

Defund public education.

Expand full comment

That is one of the many purposes of this exercise. Problem > reaction > solution. Take, for example, the post office. It was the only branch of the government which didn't cost the taxpayer anything. They worked well and had billion$ in reserve. Privatizing it would be a real prize, even without the $B. One of the many ways it's been sabotaged over the years was the unusual requirement to fund all employee pensions in their entirety for many years in advance. Suddenly a surplus turns into a deficit, and they appear to the casual observer to be too dysfunctional to justify.

Social Security, the education system, the DOT, etc. all will eventually fall to privatization, so long as nobody takes a very close look at what is actually happening.

Then again, loosing our purpose-designed public indoctrination system would not be so tragic, were the alternative actually better.

Oh Gato, you do not understand some laws of physics. In restaurants, heat from the kitchen will make viral particles raise. So, you need to wear a mask while standing, but may remove it when you sit down. In schools, with air conditioning, the opposite is true. The cold air will bring the viral particles to low levels. So, the short stature kids need to wear a mask and adults are not required to use them.

c19 natural immunity is exceptional compared to the vax!!

c19 risk to childe=ren is less than a mild flu.

public health is "let the kids get it" bc when they are over 70 it is bad!

Expand full comment

The real issue is that the 'leaders' are acting as if anything we can do will stop kids from getting it. Even if masks COULD work, do you think children have strict mask discipline? ADULTS don't even wear the damn things correctly!!!

Expand full comment

people not properly using the masks has been used to say they work but.... it is their fault not the mask!

any one developing a product knows the product is designed for the people who use it, and blaming the people using it for the product not working is backwards...

What do you make of VE in initial Pfizer trials where there were so many suspected and uncomfired that if included would only have been 19% effective.

Expand full comment

That's the beauty of being able to define a case, right? In the trial, you had to be sick to count. In the real world if you're vaxxed you have to be HOSPITALIZED to count. But any PCR positive for the unvaxxed is a 'case'. Is it is any wonder we see more cases in the group with the widest definition, which must get tested MORE often because they are not vaxxed? (Not because they are sick!)

Yippee!! Now I hope they know where to start squashing all the bad info, but, if not, I recommend the CDC, NIH, Johns Hopkins, Bloomberg, every major news outlet, every major pharmacy, hospital, physician’s organization, and pharmaceutical company, and nearly every politician in the country. Okay every. And more.

So many sheep, and such sparse logic. Very sad. I read this thinking at least at my child’s small private school the teachers do wear mask so there is less hypocrisy. But sadly they’re so bought into masking the kids that my 9 year olds class is forced to wear masks during indoor PE 🤬 and given a strict order to consume their lunch within 15 minutes and so that they’re only unmasked for a brief time.
