I used to visit New York City several times a year but I will not go anymore as long as this craziness continues. I feel sorry for the people who live there.

It still never ceases to amaze me how the average American can think forced injections are ok under any circumstances, even if they work. The fact that they don't makes this all the more eerie.

I've come to accept that I will not be able to lead a limitless life anymore. At one time, the whole world was open and I could - and did - go anywhere I wanted.

Now, I will not participate in any place that discriminates in this new way. Because make no mistake, that's exactly what it is.

Remember when we all used to be against discrimination? Remember when discrimination was a rallying cry that was used to make real progress for equality, but also was used as a red herring for opportunists to just get stuff?

Remember how those who are doing the very same discrimination now would cry about it before? How virtuous it was for them to fight against discrimination?

Anyway, I accept that until the world regains balance, I will be going to the places that don't discriminate against me, don't "other" me, and I'd encourage you all to do the same. There WILL be another side of this, and those making and enforcing these discriminatory policies will realize they were on the wrong side of history and ethics.

IIRC 40% of NYC tax revenue comes from Wall Street activity.

The firms would prefer to save money on operations and move out, but time and again when they tried it, they couldn't recruit the big talent, who wanted the fun of being young, rich and in the playground of NYC. (See UBS's failed attempt to move HQ to Greenwich.)

But suppose NYC stops being fun and all the cool kids want to be partying in Miami? That would be a problem for NYC that would put the problems of the 70s in the shade.

Andre Gregory predicted this 40 years ago in “My Dinner with Andre,” as I discuss in “COVID IS OVER! … If You Want It” (https://margaretannaalice.substack.com/p/covid-is-over-if-you-want-it):

ANDRE: [An English tree expert] said, “I think that New York is the new model for the new concentration camp, where the camp has been built by the inmates themselves, and the inmates are the guards, and they have this pride in this thing they’ve built. They’ve built their own prison. And so they exist in a state of schizophrenia where they are both guards and prisoners, and as a result, they no longer have, having been lobotomized, the capacity to leave the prison they’ve made or to even see it as a prison.” And then he went into his pocket, and he took out a seed for a tree and he said, “This is a pine tree.” He put it in my hand and he said, “Escape before it’s too late.”

When Brandon, speaking in his urine-soaked trousers, declared that there was no federal response to the covid "crisis", many cheered, thinking the madness had broken. Unfortunately as events have revealed (NYC, Boston, Chicago, Cook County, Minneapolis, etc) he was simply subcontracting the tyranny to local villains.

Seems to me that this is evidence of conspiracy.

The right question to ask on commissions is how much is this mayor being paid by pharma? Why is he peddling a product that is past its expiration date? What did bourla say just three days ago?

What did the EU say two days ago?

What is this fetish with leaders trying to stick things into people? If only Weinstein were smart enough to vaccinate his victims first, he’d have been the patron saint of all these people instead of rotting in jail.

I grew up in WNY, but left NY state in 1990 due to the outrageous taxes and rampant, unchecked corruption. Why anyone lives there is beyond me. As for NYC, Adams told you what he was during the campaign, and you voted him in anyway. Just like you voted in marshmallow brain AOC, and continue to re-elect that corrupt, loathsome Schumer, and that corrupt, disgusting slob Nadler. I have no doubt you will elect that arrogant wretch, Hochul next November.

I'm sorry, but it's hard to feel sorry for people who keep voting in fascists and then complain when their God-given rights are stripped away.

el cato. as a visitor to Manhattan right after Thanksgiving, traveling on business, I can relate that even then, the locals were over the ro. Compliance was theater. The restaurants, happy for biz, gave a cursory glance at cdc cards ( I could have put a pic of anything on my phone), and masks were a joke in bars (just sit down, you can unmask, the ro goes away).

That said, it is disappointing that a Mayor - and one who appears intelligent - wouldn't think for a second about the amazing structure of our government, that thankfully the SCOTUS said 'vax mandates aren't unconstitutional, congress can go vote for one, but this is a work-around.'

A colleague / friend of mine, who's super smart, was driving back to BK from the midwest - and even he's driven bat shit crazy : "since we got boosted, the drive was better, as we could go into restaurants along the way" ... my point being, even the non-politicians have bought the propaganda

This mayor is walking on eggshells when he criticisizes the Scotus’s decision making. But I am sure he knows this. New York will shortly run out of people, businesses and money to pay the mayor’s salary.

There is a very good chance that the large of "unvaccinated" people in the NYC hospitals (at least according to the NY Times) is the result of now ex-Mayor Bill de Blasio's job mandates which went into effect December 20th. Remember one is not considered fully vaccinated until two weeks after the 2nd jab, which would be in a week for someone taking the 1st jab on December 20th. I think it is pretty solid that the jabs suppress your immune system for that period of time (at a minimum!) and makes one more likely to catch COVID, among other things. If one looks at the graphs in a recent NY Times article making this claim, they say "Not Fully Vaccinated", though the article talks about the "unvaccinated". This is disgusting.

I've never been a fan of de Blasio to say the least and its sad beyond words that Adams is continuing the insanity.

I'm reading Australian officials don't want Novak Djokovic in their country because he threatens their narrative on vaccine policy. You'd think the fact something isn't doing what you said it would do would be the narrative that matters.

Moral of the story is don't ever let the government take away your right to self defense. Australiams gave up that right and look at how the government is defending them!

I'm not american but this is a question we use over here to expose governement corruption, ineptness, and the like:

"Imagine them putting this much effort and resources in combating homelessness."

Replace homelessness with other suitable issue as required. It works pretty well.

It's remarkable to me how newly elected persons of all levels (local, state, federal) quickly adopt the emperor attitude. Someone who worked with a new governor told me that they spent half of the first year of his term convincing him that he wasn't on his way to the White House. The first sign of a kleptocracy incipient is certainty in abuse of power.
