I don’t even think it’s even that. The millennial generation and everything after have more than their fair share of morons, that coupled with the boomers becoming afraid of their own mortality locked in the epic shitshow we are now seeing.

It’s only the progressive boomers who are afraid of everything. The rest of us live our lives and realize that none of us are immortal. I think it all boils down to unthinking people being terrified to live their lives, no matter their age.

It’s just what the WEF planners are thinking will keep their subjects owning nothing but being happy. Drugs and video games. I mean, gaming and recreational drugs are already fairly popular now. And there are millions who would gladly accede to such a proposal. Shame.

You all play video games? I do, and I have fun with them. But I cannot disagree that many are designed to suck the player in and never let them go, turn them into avatars. I don't play online with others, haven't in several years, but it is possible to have non-weird social relationships in games. I spent a lot of time playing with bankers, prison guards, firefighters, orthodontists, aluminum salesmen, etc. mostly near my age, and I'm 53. People get weird about their digital lives, mostly younger than my age, though, and it's part of why I only play offline anymore. I never had much interest in drugs.

And the end-user quality of the items produced, is it the same?

You see, we have the same problem. Business measured in profits, as return if investment - oh it just goes up for the 000.1%. Measured as salaries for the store workers in the outlets, it goes down as their money continue to become worth less.

And the quality of product is so rubbish, craftsmen and professionals alike are focusing on buying old machines and tools from back when they were made by white people in Europe, rather than chinamen in the national-socialist dictatorship where the free market capitalists devoid of any social conscience or moral, moved production. (That is the main problem with capitalism by the way: it has no moral at all, which is why so many religions warn against greed - greed, profit before everything else, destroys socities just as much as incompetent tyranny and state grift does.)

I have an axe, the head and handle of which is over a century old. It works perfectly, good as new. I also have a modern chinky-dink made one, woth a fiberglass handle. It's a piece of shit. The metal is neither iron or steel, but "chinese alloy", meaning scrap metal sludge molded to the shape of an axehead. The shape of the handle is xeroxed from the general shape of a wooden axehandle - only, fiberglass and wood does not behave the same, so cannot have the same exact shape. I can go on all day listing things that were better made when business was also nationalist and focused on earning money through sale of quality goods, rather than making profits for the owners by the virtual printing of more money through market manipulation - I'm old enough to have seen the change as an adult, and let me ask you this: the value of money is tied to goods and resources owned, and goods and services produced and exchanged in a nominally free market, right? And printing more money just decreases the value of it, right? So what happens if I create $1 000 000 without the corresponding increase in goods, services or resources just by talking up the value of my shares?

That is something no economist wants to look at, becasue if the notion that big business drives inflation via currency and stock (and other virtual, as in non-real, non-material) was to get traction... oh dear. Oy vey too for that matter. Bismillahi as well, actually and also chyort voz'mye.

Capitalism is not your friend any more than marxism is.

You are conflating government interventionism in free markets with capitalism. Only governments can expand the money supply, and doing so robs from the CEO as well as the janitor. Profits are destroyed by inflation, not enhanced except in the very short term as market prices rise more quickly than replacement costs for inventory and capital goods. But those gains evaporate fast as price increases for labor & materials start hitting the COGS side.

Consumers ultimately direct where and how capital is deployed. So you direct your purchases to where you think you get the best quality and so long as everyone else is free to do the same, everybody wins...

Expand full comment

What’s the employment like on that record output? And how do the wages compare after inflation?

Expand full comment

Manufacturing labor is at record lows vs. output - that's economic heaven. Once upon a time, 98% of Americans were involved in agriculture, most on a subsistence basis. Today <2% feed the US and a good chunk of the rest of the world. Americans work fewer hours to obtain the goods and service they went than did people 50, 100 or 150 years ago.

All wages are debased by inflation, from the janitor to the CEO...

If I may ask, where do you live where you still see those?

Expand full comment

I'm in NW Washington state. The vast majority of people are still masking up, many outdoors in open areas. Mass formation psychosis has the devil's grip up here.

Expand full comment

Wow. Here in Arizona. mask prevalence is about 5-10% (and I make a pastime of counting masked vs nonmasked individuals whenever I go out, so it's a pretty good estimate).

I left California more than 20 years ago, when I could see the way things were heading. I'd only moved there eight years before that... it had been a long-time dream to live there, and I did indeed have some wonderful times and meet some incredible people. In only eight years, though, the dream was over.

I am just glad that I got to experience the "golden state" while it still had some lustre remaining. It's gone now, truly. It's a shame, because other than the horrible political situation over there, it is really beautiful. With their politics being as they are, though, I don't even want to visit, let alone live there.

I always wonder if they are still ill informed or just scared, (or both). Even "awake" people I know still think they must help...a little at least. I hate masks and have to wear all day at work (in healthcare) so any chance I get- it's off!

Remember when we used to live in the world, go to stores, events, crowded places and didn't ever think "Will I contract an infection?" (Or go to work in a medical clinic). Now people are scared all the time. I was an an outdoor event today and many people masked. Its horrible -the psychological effect this has had, esp with young people (I live near a University and lots of young people in masks walking down the street themselves....)

My personal work is letting go of what other people do and not letting it aggravate me.

I think the vast majority of healthcare workers in my area are allowed to go maskless now. It is so bad for your health to wear one. I hope you are changing the mask out often so you are not rebreathing bacteria. It is a travesty what they are doing to you and I hope it ends soon.

The people wearing them free will? They are nuts. Sometimes fear caused, maybe the pandemic drove them to insanity, medications, watching the news? I used to care why, but they are adults and if they want to flaunt their kookoo - fine, but expect people to comment.

I never say anything to adults. I stare at them with a blank face like i'm practicing I have pocket aces playing poker. Kids, I try to talk sweetly and kiddingly hoping to cajole the mask off.

CA and foreigners masked up al over town except during race. The most fit humans probably on earth - fearfully masked. Pathetic.

Expand full comment

"Remember when we used to live in the world, go to stores, events, crowded places and didn't ever think "Will I contract an infection?""

I have still never asked myself that. The only thing that has scared me in this whole debacle has been the actions of various governments and the ease with which many people accept the chains government places on them. I still have trouble really "getting" that some people really bought this whole thing. My first reaction when I see someone masked (which is probably 5-10% of people now) is that they aren't aware they are not required to use them. It just doesn't compute that they willingly don their "Slave in Training" regalia.

Expand full comment

Silva, the masked know they are not required to wear them. If an adult is wearing them now, most - vastly most - are wearing them because they are broken and mentally ill. I am not saying that to be mean to maskers. My husband thinks a bit of shaming will snap them out of it - like wake up and stop the nonsense! But they never do. They treat the mask like it will protect them from everything and don't want to think about it because the prospect of it not doing that is too much to take. They are brittle. Just where the people running this scam want them. IMO of course.

I often wonder these days why there are two camps (afraid and deluded v awake and fighting - as I see it of course!) - like the constituents of each camp, how they got there, remain there and how do some switch camps. I know very few in the awake camp. The common thread in my life so far is most are Christians. 2 are not. I live in a weird place demographically so I think that might not be the thing. If you have thoughts on this I'd appreciate them. It is mostly why I write here. I am fairly alone in the awake camp.

Expand full comment

Raptor, I feel the same way. In my blue (university) town, I have not met ONE other awake person. I often think that's because: 1) there aren't many around; 2) those who are comprehend that they're in a very small minority are reluctant to "come out" because of the ridicule and strife they've already encountered... like I did a year ago when I came out against getting vaccinated and was met by puzzlement, disbelief, cajoling, and ultimately social rejection.... my own bestie sister would not see me, except from several yards away (feels really hurtful) for all of 2021 and has allowed me in her presence a couple of times since "when the [Covid] numbers are low." And now with emerging possibility of "shedding" from vxxd folks (which she'd never ever consider as possible), where does that leave us?

I hear this happening a lot and I think it is among the saddest thing happening. And not a coincidence. A pretty neat trick to separate families.

Expand full comment

The separation of loved ones, family and friends, seems to be one of the principal desired results of the last two years' policies. Disagreement and strife at the level of social circle has evil, well-planned consequences. I only hope more people open their eyes and identify where the grief is coming from-- and that it doesn't get worse (the evildoing from "on high" and the reaction to it).

Expand full comment

I agree- how can people be so hoodwinked? Common sense?? Critical thinking? Strange how some have it and some don't.

People in my area still mask a lot-esp college students. I have worked in healthcare during this whole time and going to stores, etc, not really thinking about the risk. If I get it, I get it. But I haven't. And I have what I need in my back pocket.

But people are still so worried about getting "the infection". I want to say- remember how for the last 50 years you just lived your lives without freaking out about getting sick. The fear campaign on this was really effective.

I'm glad there is so many of us AWAKE people out there!
